Any insight into the Barker v Oakhill result? Would have anticipated Barker getting up but not a flogging.
Agree AS, This weekend should tell a lot. This week coming is big for Waves and Augs as they match up in almost all age groups. In a few age groups (I believe 15A and 13A) these games will decide the top team in NSW in these age groups. With many of Waves top 16s players playing in the 1sts I believe Augs will get up in the 16s, and Opens. 15s, is a tough one as both sides have been extremley strong coming into this game as the only 2 undefeated teams left. I have Waves getting up by an inch in the 15s, and 13s but I back Augs 14s to get up. Big weekend to come
I found it and manages to watch it. Great game I must say. Although apparently Samuel Polley (OAK #8) received a yellow card, which seemed to be taken out of the filming of the first half? However, we did see his second half yellow, which turned to a red. Overall, great game.Would anyone happen to have access to the replay of Oakhill and Barker as im hearing the game was taken down from NSW rugby tv. Can anyone explain why?
The Auggies/Waves games will be immense - will determine the comp I reckon.Agree AS, This weekend should tell a lot.
Let's hope the weather is better than the forecast (which is often wrong).
Having watched the Waves 13,14,15as on Sat v Pats for the 1st time, 2 things were most noticeable.
1. The Pats teams all look well drilled and had a number of very good players in each age group, that explains their strong ISA performances this year and bodes well for the future, in fact the whole Pats program looks solid to me.
2. The Waves 13,14,15as are quite some teams, well coached and a lot of very gifted and athletic boys, wait until you see the 13as!
I expect Auggies will find it very tough to beat any of these teams, but it is schoolboy footy, and Auggies have the home ground advantage.
The 16as could go either way, the Waves were atrocious on Sat, Pats deserved to win, but this will be a new week.
In the Opens it's very hard to not go past Auggies in all grades.
In the 1sts, assuming the Waves have a few key players back, they could trouble Auggies, like Knox did, but at home it would be an upset.
Thing is, you just don't know what Waves team is going to turn up, whereas Auggies have been consistent all year.
At this stage the Barker 1sts are clearly the standout.
