My understanding is that SRU Colts is U20.

Therefore players should be born 2005 or later i.e. turning 20 this year or younger

I've just seen this on a Colts 2 player profile in the app. Can you get dispensations?

Both 19 and 20 yr olds are eligible to play Colts.

My son was born in 2005…this is his 2nd year in Colts.

Definitely yes.
I’d be curious to know what the reason(s) put forward was.

It's likely a typo in the back end of fuse , there was a colt last year that had born 2000 on the fuse app

So you can be born in 2004 and still be 20 on 1st January but not turn 21 until later in 2025.
It's not u20 as far as I know, it's 20 or younger.

So you can be born in 2004 and still be 20 on 1st January but not turn 21 until later in 2025.
It's not u20 as far as I know, it's 20 or younger.

If that was the case I would say far more players born 2004 would appear on team sheets?

My understanding was you had to be turning no older than 20 in the current calendar year.
