Come on over to Hassell Park tomorrow at 3pm to watch St ives take on Maccabi. We are certainly going ahead. It looks to be a belter of an afternoon!

Yep just got the word (not about the bird) that Lane Cove Council has closed Tantallon after gazing into a crystal ball in regards to tomorrow's weather therefore the scheduled three way trial between Old Barker, Knox Old Boys and Lane Cove Old Ignatians is cancelled.

Porters, Taplin, Tantallon, and Rothwell all closed.

Blacktown Council don't appear to care about the forecast :) Raptors hosting Renegades at their new home ground - Peter Van Hasselt Oval.

Will see what everyone says tomorrow after an inch of rain ;) Of course with the weather lately it could all just blow away!

First bad news for the year: one of our Colts-age guys did his knee in our trial against Hills last week. Scans show a season-ender.

Bummer.

Yep - unfortunately any time you step on the field it could be the last game of your season or worse. Bones and tissue have no regard for premiership points status. Sorry to hear and hope he (and anyone else hurt already) heals up alright over time.

Lot of ground closures coming in. Local junior rugby league in the Hills and Blacktown Councils have decided not to risk it.

Even the #fieldofdreams is going to be closed today to preserve the surface - trial matches for junior RL due to occur there but why bother? Just end up with wet and miserable parents and wet and miserable kids.

Smart move. Just waiting on Blacktown Council to make it official. Shame they can't read a weather forecast.

EDIT: Raptors and Renegades have decided to call it off by mutual consent. Not going to learn much today except how to scrum...

Hi all,
We told (Penrith Emus) players to take next weekend off before the season starts but we are considering a trial Thursday night 730 under lights at Nepean (One team) - if interested text Adam 0421958892
No offence to our immediate neighbours ie Raptors, Blue Mtns but I had a rule in Juniors not to play our local clubs to avoid the drama of any player movement before the season starts and inclined to keep to it.
