Pretty sure both have ankle injuries and out for 6 weeks. Goddard and ACL and gone for the season.
Goddard the front rower? I ask because of my stuff up re Alatini last week...

He's one of the best prospects at Prop. Not flashy like some other up and coming Props but just a tank that locks down the set piece. Kind of thing we see England trot out at these tournaments and we wonder where ours are.

Yep, Goddard the Eastwood and former Knox school prop. Real shame for the poor kid.

That's excellent news it is going ahead.

Very tough group - top side from each pool and best 2nd placed pool side go into semis (I think), while the rest get to scrap to avoid relegation.

2026 looks like it will be improved, with 16 teams competing.

Great, that it's happening, but it's also kind of odd as there won't be any real relegation in place going to 16 teams. Though I doubt Spain will be complaining with the opportunity to have 3 years minimum in the top division.

You would assume the weather would be better than what we have gotten in South Africa the past few years with the rain and mud pitches, which can only be a better thing for us.

Would hate for this comment to be the jinx for weeks of bad weather in Italy at that time.

This is the last of the BS tournaments. We should handle Scotland at least and stay out of the playoffs for relegation. Their age sides has been fairly shit for a while now
