It kind of makes the whole storm in a teacup incident between JOC (James O'Connor), KB (Kurtley Beale) and QC (Quade Cooper) in Paris the storm in a teacup that it was.

You're not trying hard enough. ZG may be trying a bit too hard.

If I was 22, had just won the RWC, made plenty of money and was on holidays - I would cause some carnage as well.

The report linked to at the start of this thread may be a tad exaggerated (in that it is the only report i have read that mentions 5 women) but it sounds like he has been a dick yet again.
He obviously has a drinking problem. But the AB management will give him help. I doubt he will get a third chance. They stuck with Cowan after his arrest for beating up a bouncer while drunk, while on bail for beating up a bouncer while drunk.
We have plenty of wingers so he is not irreplacable.
I hope he can sort his issues out. Remember his dad died only recently, he is young guy under intense pressure. After the Keith Murdoch affair I doubt the NZRFU will ever hang a player out to dry again (so to speak).

You mean you have never drunk so much you didn't remember what happened?

I drank a bottle of Ouzo one night and I wouldn't believe the photos ............................
Same here. I mean, the label said it was Ouzo, but I suspect it was a backyard still on that particular Greek island... Never again!

I got into a bottle of stabyamum vodka (they call it stabyamum, because it makes you so fucked up you'd stab your mum) in ios, same deal, unlabelled bottle, home brewed on the island. Woke up the next day and found out that I had the greek police looking for me for 3 1/2 hrs because they thought I stabbed someone (wasn't me, they caught the guy who did it) but they thought it was me because my mate found me in the middle of Rehab bar, covered head to toe in blood, was my own, I had glass in my back and through my hand, pulled glass out and cleaned it with vodka, the muscle in my thumb popped out of a cut when I pulled a shard of glass out, ended up getting stitched up by a vet and work up in an italian girls bed. Didn't remember leaving sunrise bar, blacked out through the whole thing, still no idea what happened.... good times :D, but seriously, drink responsibly kids.

Jeez, I'd love to be a fly on the wall when you sit your 14 year old son down for a man to man talk about alcohol.

I'll be honest with him, sure it makes a great story but a lot worse could have happened, if my wrist had been cut instead of my hand and back I could have died. It was when I was 18, and I've since learnt to drink responsibly. I think many people go through that stage where they just cut wild and while it can be fun at the time it becomes quite destructive in the long run. I wasn't mature at the time, probably still am not to some degree, but if I'm honest with him and let him learn from my mistakes rather than pretending I'm a moral saint then I think it will do him in good stead.

"Witnesses say Guildford barged into Trader Jacks in the capital, Avarua, without clothes, saturated and bleeding heavily. He punched several patrons, before climbing on to a stage to apologise then running off with five women who were waiting for him outside."

It's probably fortunate he doesn't remember it.

This has got be a generational thing. Let me see if I've got it right. The young bloke, totally bare-arsed and accompanied by a quintet of vestal virgins, arrives at a bar and goes inside while the young ladies dutifully wait outside.

Having committed a degree of mayhem for which he showed his good upbringing by climbing onto the stage to extend apologies, he then departs into the night, still sans culottes, with the five young Amazons in close attendance.

And Braveheart thinks it would be fortunate if he didn't remember it.

If by some extraordinary stroke of great fortune something similar had happened to me in my youth, not only would I want to remember it, I'd probably still be boasting about it to total strangers sitting beside me on the bus.

Sexual liberation and abandon has been totally wasted on this younger generation who don't appreciate they're living in paradise.

The closest I have ever come to emulating young Zac's effort has been the odd occasion when I've had my donger out in a licensed establishment as you tended to do now and again growing up in Wollongong.
