Guys,

Been contacted by an 18 year old Argentinian tighthead who wants to explore playing for a club in Australia.

Any tips on where he can start or contacts for him?

Answers below or PM me.

Piss of Lindo - West have enough. The Gold Coast is the place to be.

Yeah playing in QLD is where its at ::)

Go with the Pirates young man. If he gets stuck, the Renegades are always willing and he'll be playing with some top talent (me excluded).

Bruce Ross might be able to help.

Sydney Uni would be a very good environment if he is basically interested in learning his craft and developing physically, but they wouldn't pay him and I imagine that Sydney is a very expensive city now for an Argentinian what with the weakness of their economy and presumably their currency and the recent strengthening of ours.

There is also the flak that my club cops for monopolising talent, a view with which I have some small degree of sympathy; though not when the abuse is based on deliberate misrepresentation of what Uni offers kids.

I think it would be good for the young bloke to come to Australia, but I hope whichever club gets him remembers he is only 18 and needs time to mature and learn.

This bloke should hit up Uni-Norths in Canberra, coached by none other than Argentinian/Australian Patricio Noriega with his sons also playing there
