I have always heard about the myth of Yannick Jauzion but I have never seen enough of his play to truly rate him. I have however seen him score some very streaky tries in the snippets of him I have seen.

I like that there was actually some thought put into this.
Wildebeest at 13 is controversial for me. good crash ball runner but can't offload for shit

Is it my imaginateion, or has Groucho picked 16 players.
Sneaky bastard he is!

And I can categorically say that a Peregrine Falcon is a demon in defence! They swoop like nothing on earth when their nest is threatened!

It's a shame the dinosaurs have retired, they'd make a great forward pack. And velociraptors on the wings (since we know how they feel about attacking from the flanks).

Triceratops at prop, Brontosaurus at lock.
I have a feeling that the raptors would want to play for the Saffers. Have you seen the claws they have - great for eye gouging!

I think many animals might have handling difficulties. But the simple addition of elephant at 8 and polar bear at 1 would greatly improve the Wallabies.

Polar Bear at 1?

Is that our mate Bundy Bear or an import?

Not many Australian Natives in the World List. This list is too heavily centered towards emerging central African States, although the Saffers would probably claim most of your selection as Saffer selections.

Even less from Noo Zullund though :p

hugh jarse: i heard sheep have great balance, penetration, shepherd players into touch, always impress during movember and herd around each other when its not going their away.

However they always come off for water breaks, get busy with the due on the ground, can't defend properly and once on their back they never come back!

Could make a useful utility though.

New Zealand are top dogs at the moment, so I think to get into the World XV you've got to knock one of them off. It is difficult to decide who to include, and under what circumstances. What if they are injured? What if out of form? On both of those questions I have assumed recovery.

1 Tony Woodcock - Benn Robinson (although recent form does not reflect this)
2 Keven Mealamu - TPN
3 Owen Franks - Martin Castrogiovanni
4 Brad Thorn
5 Tom Donnelly - Victor Matfield
6 Jerome Kaino - Juan Smith
7 Richie McCaw (c)
8 Kieran Read - Imanol Harinordoquy
9 Jimmy Cowan - Fourie Du Preez
10 Dan Carter
11 Joe Rokocoko - Sitiveni Sivivatu
12 Ma'a Nonu - Jean De Villiers
13 Conrad Smith - Jaque Fourie
14 Cory Jane - Drew Mitchell
15 Mils Muliaina

My honest opinion:

1. Benn Robinson
2. Tatafu Polota-Nau
3. Owen Franks
4. Brad Thorn
5. Victor Matfield
6. Juan Smith
7. Richie McCaw
8. Kieran Reid
9. Will Genia
10. Dan Carter
11. Digby Ioane
12. Ma'a Nonu
13. Jaque Fourie
14. Cory Jane
15. Kurtley Beale

Although it's a disgrace someone called Kieran is in a World XV

That is the sort of thing I would suggest, except (with my limited knowledge of NH rugby), people like Shane Williams, Brian O'Driscoll and a couple of props deserve a mention. Hasn't Williams equalled Campo's tryscoring record or something?
Also, I have never been impressed by Reid. Whack in Palu or something. Fourie Du Preez would desrve Genia's spot if fit, though Will would do us proud.

EDIT: and Ben Alexander is better in my mind than Owen Franks,

If we are talking No 8s, Imanol Hairydonkey or Juan Martin Fernandez Lobbe should be in with a shout. And Sergio Parisse always seems to get talked up, but I have barely seen him play.
And as for No 1, Benn Robinson was the best loosehead last year. This year he has struggled to get his mojo back. Fabien Barcella and that Welsh bloke (forget his name, gareth maybe?) are supposedly pretty good. Tony Woodcock was the best loosehead of the 3N this year in my opinion.

Groucho

Greg Davis (50)
I think when Nau gets his mojo back he'll be a definite world XV man. He is potentially a Wallaby great. His progress has been slowed by some injuries but maybe that is no bad thing for his longevity.

He is a fantastic player, and really glad to have him as a Wallaby.
But the way he throws hos body around, will he last long enough (no critisism, he puts his body on the line every time)?

And Groucho, has he had many injuries other than the one that is keeping him out at the moment (which if I recall was also the same injury that kept him out prior to that return at the start of the international season).
