Confusion has broken out at NZRFU HQ after All Black coach Scott Robertson has enacted something he calls "Executive Privilege" and altered nominees for the NZ Player Of The Year Awards.
The edited nominees for the awards are as follows:
All Blacks Player of the Year
Tyrel Lomax
Tupou Vaa’i
Wallace Sititi
"Dave"
Toddy's boy
Super Rugby Pacific Player of the Year
Hoskins Sotutu (Blues)
Damian McKenzie (Chiefs)

Richie Mounga
When informed that Mounga did not in fact play Super Rugby in 2024 Robertson was at first alarmed, then confessed he didnt watch any Super Rugby in 2024 as it "doesn't prepare players for test footy." Razor then announced Mounga "maybe deserved the award for 2024 anyway, from a historical perspective, as a sort of lifetime service achievement award."
