Week 2 supercut

I've also been backfilling match highlight video as they're made available which seems to be two days after match day.

I have to say one of the real enjoyable things with this tournament is the relaxed and fun the women seem to be. Was watching on news when a new girl is named as captain, there seemed genuine happiness even from players missing being in the squad with yahoos and hugs all round. Same as when the teams go to schools etc, saw the Scots girls at a school in Northalnd, and it seemed fun for everyone. They tend to remind me that the bloody game, even in a WC etc, is meant to be about enjoying the experience, and I bet a lot of young girls will be thinking, hey this looks so much fun, can I play too?

Lafai out injured (ankle injury). Kemp to start and Kaitlan Leaney onto the bench. Lafia's workrate has been outstanding. Kemp a real impact player so it will be a challenge

 TBH think we need faster service, and a skipper who will eventually get in the ear of the ref about all the stoppages.

Against Scotland their fullback was 40m upfield getting attention when a lineout was supposed to happen. Play on!

Wallaroos up 10-7 against Wales, a certain try went begging after referee got in the way in the first half.

Wallaroos competing well against a better resourced and paid team, hopefully the conditioning doesn't impact in the later parts of second half

Wallaroo scrum with complete domination going forward and not been rewarded, yet when the scrum collapses it’s a penalty to Wales… strange

The touch judge and ref just awarded a lineout to Aus from a Wales kick on the full from clearly outside the 22.

What the fuck? How can that be acceptable and not picked up by anyone.

Our decision to hold versus pass really needs work. We should have won that game with another 2 tries minimum but either offloaded too early or too late. We must have made at least 6 handling errors within Wales' 22 and too many bad decisions 5m out.

The ref stepping right into the line of fire in the first half - stopping a 5 on 2 overlap - did not help.

Some of the discipline is just awful TBH - silly little things at ruck and maul that relieve pressure on the opposition.

Grace Kemp made a massive difference to our scrum.

Grace Hamilton had some ridiculous stats out of that and was streets ahead as POTM.

Batibasanga limits our attack. McKenzie's boot in general play needs improvement.

Refereeing was better this game - and I should think so, being Cox - but there were a lot of players in the side and latchers hitting the deck that weren't penalised. This determined the shape of the game as both teams love a stop-start fixture.

Well 45-0 to Black Ferns at oranges. By geez there some girls got skills in that team. Fitzpatrick at 12, Bremner at 6 and Hirini at 7 are just 3 that look pretty good players. At the rate they going Wayne Smith is still going to have problems deciding his best team!

Was interesting to see the second half much quieter. Not sure if that was the plan but the first 40 was one way traffic
