True. Buth are big tests. I guess I wasn't so much pass/fail it will be interesting to see how close we get to England or how leaky the defence is.

The womens game is at the stage of professionalism where the difference between the semi-pro/pro teams and the amateur teams is very obvious.

Yep. There's been significant improvement from the Wallaroos but I'm keen to see if they closed some of the gap between the top teams

The improvement in the Wallaroos over the last couple of years as they have got more professional is incredible. The skills and athleticism compared to where it was not that long ago is chalk and cheese.

I have not watched many of their games, I do recall after the Wales games thinking how poor the set piece was, it was like they had never practiced a lineout.

They have certainly turned this around and looked quite impressive in their last game, it will be interesting to see how much of this improvement was down to who they play.

I just hope we can give England a good run for their money.

Any idea if the women's world cup will turn a profit? I would have thought that if so, all competing nations should receive a dividend from WR (World Rugby) to plough back into their women's programs. most are operating at a loss so this may help ensure countries are able to keep investing in the women's game.

That first Wales test we played (and lost) certainly featured a lot of players outside of our best XV and 23.

do you think? I think perhaps as a result of that loss (and the previous loss to NZL where we were quite passive). But everyone in that 23 is in the RWC squad. Other than the front row which seemed to change every week, its pretty much the same 23 that played v Samoa. Just Maya in for Ellis which was always due to happen. Some shuffling of starters but a pretty consistent team.

Tough one for the ladies this morning. Lots of good stuff, but discipline costs them and getting isolated in the tackle. Still the draw keeps them with a decent, realistic chance of progressing.

All things considered the defence was pretty impressive for the most part and when they did have the ball they put some good passages together.

USA had a lot of ball in this game. The refereeing was odd to say the least. At times USA were meters offside and their rush defence didn't allow the wallaroos to use the ball well. No idea what the touch judges were looking at.

Surely we have enough points on the board against Samoa and good enough defence against England to get through?

I would like to think England won't beat us by more that 62 like they did to the USA, and I don't think USA will get more that 73 against Samoa so we should be able to go through after the next game.

It looks good on paper. But I guess based on the score line both teams are very even so don’t really know how the results will go in the last fixture.

Looking forward to watching them have a crack though. Agree - it was a good game to watch.

It was a good game, I'm not sure if the Wallaroos discipline or the ref kept USA in the game or not.

It's interesting Halse and Miller are the strike weapons so far, the normal try magnet of Maya Stewart been kept quiet but still playing a good support role.

Sets up a good game for next week too.

Yes, I thought the ref was very quick to call at the breakdown for the US but not for us. Could be we were transgressing?
It was a game we probably should have won. Hope we sneak through.
