Not on the roster?

So he played one game is that right? And now he wants to come home?

Did he at least play well? And why 1 game since May?

Change of coach with Saint André taking over the French National Team.
Now it is Bernard Laporte in charge and he doesn't like Mason, stating he has no skills and no time to learn Union. He has youngsters he prefers to launch.
And Mason is quite expensive.

Not a fan of Laporte but he's got that one right... not that it takes a genius to work it out though...

He hasn't been realesed yet but Mason is actively searching for a club to play NRL 2012.
I'm not sure he is training anymore... he might be the 5th n°13 of the club behind Bastareaud, Lovobalavu, Messina and a youngster

I hate to subject you all to the contents of one of Danny 'The Weed' Weidler's columns. But I will.

In his column 'Reni's Hard Sell: Bring Back Mason', which quickly, and unsurprisingly, turns into 'The Weed's Big Sell', Mason is leaving France not because he was useless, but because, in spite of how good he is, management wants him gone. You see, he was too smart, and knew too much, and had too much to offer. Management either couldn't see this, or recognised it, but just had it out for big Willie and must have wanted to lose all their games.

Unpredictably, the Weed goes on and sucks up a bit more to Mason, one of the staples of his column. He informs us that Mason was loved by his team mates. Especially his 'off field' company. I suppose there was no 'on field' company since he never really played. And he still has plenty to offer any NRL club, because some other mungo who got kicked out of the game for drug use, who used to train with big Willie a while back, says he is 'strong' and 'explosive'. Oh yeah, and Willie needs to pay off a big mortgage for his 'beautiful' home in Clovelly. (Just so that we know that the Weed is such good mates with big Willie that he's been around to his house.) Also, apparently Willie 'has a heart of gold' because he 'does a lot of good things for people away from football that never get reported'.

Apart from in this column.

Surprise surprise, the Weed also finds room to mention and heap praise upon Michael Clarke, Phil Hughes and a member of the (Manly) Stewart family. He also drops a few other names. Strangely enough, he doesn't praise or defend Matt Giteau, Todd Carney or Sonny Bill Williams, nor does he mention any text messages or tweets that he received throughout the week from any NRL (i.e Bulldogs, Roosters or Manly) players.

How that man is a 'journalist' pisses me off. I'm not sure if it's him, or the fact that he obviously has an audience of sorts. Scary.
