The ARU cannot afford not to have Cooper going around for the Reds. He is one of the very few drawcards in Australian rugby at the moment. We desperately need him, and the dollars that he will bring, through the turnstiles and hopefully the ratings.

The thread was to gauge what people thought he would do next year with the poll and it has done that. I did say in the first post i was happy to have it combined with the old one or even would have been happy just for the poll to stay open. I guess the mods were happy enough that it could have provided something the other thread hasn't

Don't like the thread? Don't post in it.
Don't like people with a different opinion? Don't go on forums, ever.

I've been a long term supporter but this has me questioning that. I do want to see him stay but he is on his way to doing his career irreparable damage and alienating his fan base. Blind support of the guy is just as bad as blind hate which i'm not denying is there. Have you seen rule 10?

Nothing wrong with the poll per se, but everything else has been said in the other thread don't you think? I'm also not giving him blind support, he has many faults, he is after all human. But I don't give a stuff about his human frailties, I just care what he can do on the Rugby field and that he does very well.... it's people on forums & media speculation that fuels the sagas that surround him.
Don't know what rule 10 has to do with my post, I wasn't playing any one man..... it seems to me that rule 10 doesn't apply to QC (Quade Cooper).
Different opinions are fine, but your right... this forum used to be cool, now it's a huge negative whinge fest. I might just stick to the articles & opinion on the front pages & match threads from now on.

Rule 10 is if someone does not agree with your point of view it's better to walk away after a few posts than persist banging your head against the wall. I was disappointed this thread turned into the same crap as the other as well, but it wasn't terribly surprising.

Your call about avoiding certain areas. Some of the people who do seem to be Coopers biggest critics have a lot of good to say in other areas. A couple of weeks ago i was arguing the point as well but have let it go. Lots of good stuff if you ignore the noise.

Cyclo, there are 4 or 5 who would love to see him leave & probably have done way before the current dramas. Quade has had people on his back since he first came onto the scene.
I've never seen so much vitriol towards one player in 40 years of watching Rugby. It's no wonder he doesn't know whether he's Aurthur or Martha, he's either loved or hated. It really is unbecoming of the Rugby community in my opinion & I'm sick of the whole thing.
Did we really need a new thread to go over the same old crap?
I'd say these statements are at odds. Some (a few) are relentless in their desire to see him go, many are somewhere in the middle with various reservations about the whole saga, some will defend him no matter what he says and does(a few). I think the great unwashed are more to the middle. But a lot of them don't want to see the ARU pander to him and Khoder Nasser. Not quite hating.

Reading Quade's recent tweets which are banter between him and his Reds teams mates, It just doesn't sound like a guy that's about to up and leave them.
That's all good and fine that it sounds as though he will not be lost to the Reds, but he came through the back door in order to be available for his boxing gig by disrespecting the ARU and their wishes. He acts as though he has "swung" them.
A bad move in the long run you would have to think.

Not sure if it is a bad move.
If his desire to break records as Australia greatest ever 10 it's a bad move.
But if the intention is to maximise his income, then it's not.
If Folau can earn a lot more in Europe, than QC (Quade Cooper) can in Oz, how much would they pay Quade over there?
He has 38 test caps, that's enough memorabilia, if you not chasing records.

No worries mate. However you don't need to be on twitter to read it. Just type the players name followed by twitter and it should take you to their twitter page. Usually there is a blue tick to idenify that the twitter account has been verified as the actual person. You can read Coopers tweets here, click on the instagram link to see the photos:
