Henry HUTCHISON doing a Harry Jones/Corey Tulloch and is named in a premier 2nd Grade team in his first year out of school (Wicks to take on Rats on Good Friday). The slight difference to Harry's and Corey'e efforts last year is that they were both 18 on debut whereas Henry is still only 17 still qualifies as Under 18 (as at 1 Jan 2015).

Also from the Wicks is NEW Class of 2014 Latu LATINIPULU who is doing a Kellaway and debuting in First Grade in his first year out of school. This lad didn't attract the attention of the Schools Representative Clipboards last year. Well done him.

HJ, loathe as I am to contradict you, Hutchison turned 18 in February 2015. Not detracting from his damn fine effort though. Caps a great week for HH having been selected for the Australian U20s squad. If he stays fit and well he'll have several more campaigns to excel at that level.

Having been selected for GPS 2s in 2014 Latinipulu was not required by the NSW schools selectors. However, the Wicks' selectors certainly know a good'un.

Good to see two young men playing first grade rugby in their first year out of school.
Both of these young men were not selected for State Schoolboy Representation, and one wasn't even playing 1st XV rugby at his school (although this is believed to be more for time management purposes to focus on his studies than a lack of rugby ability).

Jack MADDOCKS (formerly Scots) from Eastern Suburbs played round 2 in Colts 3rd grade, rounds 3-6 in Colts 1 and has started Rounds 7-9 in the Eastern Suburbs First Grade Shute Shield side. Impressive effort.

Latu LATUNIPULU (formerly Newington) from Randwick has played all rounds this year in the Randwick First Grade Shute Shield side.

Livewire, former NSW Country Junior, CCC and Combined States Under 18 representative, James WILKINSON has been named in the Gordon First Grade team for this weekends game in his first year out of high school.

Not too many lads get to play in a First Grade front row in their first year out of school. Well done young man.

Add Vunipola FIFITA to the list of young men from 2014 who made their Shute Shield First Grade debut in their first year out of school, in this case for Randwick.

He has had two 2nd Grade starts, two 2nd Grade cameos off the bench, and four 1st Grade cameos off the bench. He has been out of action for a couple of weeks at the Junior World Rugby Trophy tournament in Portugal playing for Tonga and should be back on the park in Sydney Premier Rugby in round 12.

Some more of the Class of 2014 in Premier Grade football:

Connor O'SHEA came off the bench to score a meat pie on debut for Sydney University Shute Shield First Grade, after running on in the starting XV for Second Grade.
http://www.greenandgoldrugby.com/co...ersity-football-club.13935/page-7#post-748836

Alex MAFI (registered as Alekisio Marfi) made a run on debut for Bond University in their QPR First Grade Side against Wests after several cameos off the bench.

Andrew VATUVEI has played a few games for Parramatta 2nd Grade and was involved in a medical emergency situation whilst playing against Sydney University, ironically the same game that Connor O'SHEA made his grade debut.

Siuta (Timote) TAI is playing with Royals in Canberra but has just returned from the Junior Rugby World Trophy with the Tongan team.

anyone know where Guy Porter is running around these days? thought he was unlucky not to make Aussie Schools and it would be a shame if he has stopped playing seriously.
