I suppose being 2nd in the comp in terms of tackles broken isn't good enough.

Diggers is trailing Mitchell however, who is leading the comp on 54

Ioane: 47
Ranger: 46
Well what has Mitchell done for me lately. As a Reds Supporter of Course.

Hes been resting up in the bye week for a massive game against the Brumbies....

I am goint to weigh in and I know I will get sanctioned.
In a way I agree with Waz.
Not withstanding his game stats, my son phrased it well during the Bulls game,'what a lot of froth and bubble'. It's like a full brass band parade when a flute ensemble will do.
While Ioane does all this great stuff, he actually creates this little cyclone that follows him that gives the appearance he is doing more than what is really accomplished. I call it being a fuzzbudget, darting here, darting there and going nowhere.
I am not saying he doesn't accomplish anything, far from it. I am saying what he does accomplish, it seems to me and jr could be done more industriously.

In the end though, he has achieved and I applaud him for that. I think he is having the best season he has ever had.

He is having his best season ever, yet he could be more industrious? Can't wait for that!

Ok - more efficient for the work he does OR, accomplish the same without so much work expended.

he boils the whole urn to make a cup of tea

I would say that he does everything at 100%. Something that you need to do playing international rugby, which is why he is a game breaker at all levels.

Why can't Digby Ioane fly? If he was so awesome last season, this season he should be able to pick up the ball and fly 50metres over the players and score at the other end EACH MINUTE. What a lazy sod!

See i dont see this 'froth and bubble' as a bad thing, he plays similar style to Jarryd Hayne minus the passing skills, but Jarryd plays a style of 'bubbling' around and then attacking the defensive line, its almost enigmatic(is that a word?) to watch. But almost every time Digby runs the ball, he attracts plenty of defenders, a lot of defenders converge on him because he doe so much darting and 'fuzzbudget', then provided he gives quick ball it usually means the defensive line has holes in it.

I do agree that if he learns to pass more and offload more he will become a even better player

As usual, being special comes with certain privileges. From the Yellow bus, to being censored on this website. Thanks Scarfman!

I find it outrageous that my threads are regarded as illogical. To my surprise, a whole thread was started requesting I be censored. However, the Green and Gold and the ARU website have both stolen my pending article, rephrased the whole thing and made it appear legitimately theirs! AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) vs Ioane was my idea! Plagiarism I cry! :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire:

It reminds me of Mercury Rising. "Bruce Willis and Alec Baldwin star in Mercury Rising, a story about an autistic child (Simon) that unknowingly decodes a new top-secret military code, and becomes the target of people looking to eliminate the threat that he poses."

Reverse autism I may suffer from. I can see ahead what the rest cannot see. I'm not sure what to call it yet! A day before i put the thread up, my provisions were minimized and next day my article is up! :banghead :banghead :banghead

Couldnt disagree with that comparison more. Where as Hayne stops and starts Diggers just runs hard. There is no doubt Hayne has talent, however I think that towards the end of last year it was his reputation as much as that talent that led to him being so dominant. Players got scared and held off him which played into his hands. I have to admit I was pushing the Hayne is overrated bandwagon for a while and got made to look quite silly but I have layed hiim for the Dally M this year and am quite happy he hasnt found last years form.

Sorry the League digression but this is a joke topic anyway isnt it??

Ioane has been sensational this year. He terrorizes defences. Have a look at the defence within 20 metres of him whenever the ball heads his way or when comes in close to the ruck/maul to have a run. Havoc. I think he has proved this year that roving wing is his position.

Comparison of Ioane and Ashley-Cooper as outside centres this year is very close to meaningless - neither has played there constantly.

That is neither autism or reverse autism (if any such thing existed). If you're autistic then you prefer things to be in patterns, to go as you expect, regulated. If they don't you either withdraw or you act out. You have trouble communicating and socialising.
Now only some fall into the category of autistic savant, where you tend to know a lot about a given topic or see patterns clearly (Rainman or Simon from Mercury Rising).

Please don't use a term when you know nothing about it.

Not exactly, are you thinking of OCD?

This thread is awesome!

Maybe there is something to be said for getting rid of top players from the Reds team - losing Barnes then Horwill does seem to have coincided with improved results. Drop Ioane and they'll win the comp!

Bam! Well summarized!i

I think the Reds will lose Ioane vs the Brumbies in an apparent injury and they will win that game!
