Round ten of Super Rugby sees the injury ravaged Force take on the table topping Lions of the Africa 2 conference. The big questions is will the Force be able to field a competitive side with further injury blows to DHP and Luke Morahan and ongoing concerns with Adam Coleman and Benny Mac expected to miss again.

There's no doubt the Force have shown they have the guts to compete, but the current injury list to our quality starters is looking like a bridge too far. The Force pack has been good but we are desperate for some quality finishers. The Force will need to lock this game down and win ugly.

What is the word on the second row. Are we likely to see Philip, Coleman or Arnold?

And any word on DHP? Is he rooted or good to go? Ditto for Morahan.

Otherwise we are fast running out of locks and outside backs.

DHP and McCalman are reportedly looking unlikely for the June tests. May not play again in blue this season (or ever if the ARU gets their way). Morahan is out. Coleman is unlikely. No word on Phillip or Arnold as yet.

DHP has a hamstring, Mozza has a cheekbone (fracture?), Benny Mac a stinger in the shoulder, Coleman still recovering, Philip a foot injury, Arnold a calf. Looks like it will be the same lock combo of Carmichael and RHP.

Newsome and Rona on the wings, who backs them up, maybe Robbie Coleman or a call up for a future Force prospect??

This is so frustrating. I would say the Force only have 6 international standard players (TPN, Coleman, Hodgo, McCalman, DHP, Morahan) so to have 4 out of 6 of them missing most games when we are fighting for survival it really hurts. Especially when the Aussie conference is so close, I believe we have been the 2nd best Aussie Team this year, without injuries we would be doing a lot better.

Ackerman has locked down on a definite A team. Heaps of consistency in the starting 15. Recently the only real rotation has been swapping 1-3 and 16-18 to start.

But he rolled the dice in Argentina with a juniors team. His strategy here will be interesting.

Got to feel for the Force with their injuries. Probably the only team in Aus right now showing pride in the jersey.

Coleman injured his ankle playing for Joondalup on the weekend.

Newsome and Verity-Amm on the wings and the old fella Peter Grant on the bench for his first run. Meakes and Rona back to our best centre pairing.

If we were a movie we would be the 'Dirty Dozen'........a rag tag group of misfits with nothing to lose cobbled together for an impossible mission. Its going to be interesting Saturday!

Verity-Amm gets a crack after a couple of seasons in the Future Force and playing for Nedlands in the local comp. Has been in good form early this season in club footy so should be a solid debut though marking Skosan is quite the step up. Vui and Kafusi are also Future Force 2017 members, so a show of confidence in our academy players.
Some will say it's a test of depth but it's also a chance for these guys to step up from NRC/Club and put in a good performance and get experience going forward.

Force by a try

If anyone thinks the force crowds are average. Remember the dockers played the same time last week and now the Derby is on the same time. Would be amazed to see anymore then 10k at the game
