We can't really afford to lose Potter - we've only got 3 quality back 3 players in Grealy, Pietsch and Potter. Plus Beale I guess when he's fit, but not a long term option.
Potter for Bridge would be a real downgrade and probably worse for our salary cap since Potter's next contract should have a wallaby top up. Also losing a potential long term player for a short term overseas player.
If we do lose him to the east, it further highlights why we should be given an increased salary cap due to the higher costs required to attract and retain players in the west, generally away from their homes on the east
