Western Force 2024

Both a big losses. Tahs getting Slacksmith back to NSW is a good move by them but I a loss for the Force. Mature young forwards don't grow on trees.

Backrow is pretty deep at the Force. Will be interesting to see how it pans out.

Pasitoa will be a great 12 imho.
I was thinking the same thing. In this series against the Cheetahs each time he has come off the bench he has replaced Kuenzle at 12. He is built like a centre and is certainly an option there. It will be interesting this weekend, in the final game agianst the Cheetahs, to see how he is utilised.

didn't he play 12 outside Carter Gordon for the Aussie U18s/Schools team?

I'll answer myself:

2018 Schools/U18s
v Ulster 10 Gordon 12 Pasitoa (lost 22-17)
v Ireland 10 Pasitoa 12 Walton 22 Gordon (won 17-5)
v Scotland (??) 10 Gordon 12 Vince Creagh 22 Pasitoa (won 70-0)
v Scotland 10 Pasitoa 12 Walton 22 Gordon (won 46-14)/

QUite the site all up. Retrospectively the best side (now) of that squad is probably:

1 Angus Bell
2 Billy Pollard
3 Tom Lambert
4 Max Douglas / Jackson Pugh
5 Jeremy Williams
6 Luke Remer
7 Carlo Tizzano / Rory Scott
8 Will Harris
9 Spencer Jeans
10 Carter Gordon
11 ?Angus Bell?
12 Reesjan Pasitoa
13 Joey Walton
14 ? Danial Ala?
15 Brendan Jimenez

Where’s Jimenez now? I remember him being very good.

That Ulster game must of shit them.

Angus Bell 11 has been playing some really good footy for Manly after leaving Uni. He seems like a guy that will land in the UK for sure and wouldn't surprise me to be another Guy Porter situation.

Good to see consitency in selection and players getting game together.

Interesting bench selection Titi Nofogatotoa, ex Junior Wallaby U20 in 2022 and I think he may have also captained a game or two for them.

How is Prior still going around?
I think he is halfback #4 in the squad and is there for leadership in a relatively young group. He is been only going on for about 15 min. Halfbacks 1 and 2 in the squad are over in France at the moment.

How do Force fans assess Jeremy Williams? Haven't watched him much over in the West. But he seems to be able to play 2R, 6 and 8. Potentially interesting option. Personally rated him over others kept at NSW.

He had an awesome 2023. He played the most minutes of any player in the squad this year & as a rookie 2nd rower called the line outs.

Cron has had him as skipper for all 4 games against the Cheetahs.

Highly rated, deservedly so.

You can't have him back ;)

I thought he stood out this year for the Force - wasn't familiar with him previously but certainly noticed him this year. Interesting that he plays 8 as well as lock.
