Western Force 2020

No I think the article was written in incredibly poor taste as to crow about how $70m could have saved RA from perils of Coronavirus is just bad taste.

Only point I do agree with perhaps is jumping to the gun crucifying forcefan intentions posting the article.

So will delete that post but definitely won’t delete my comments on what I stand by is gutter journalism.

So save the uppercuts for yourself. I certainly will be no longer supporting rapid rugby if they stand by and show support for that article in the tone it was written.

Not the time or place for that sort of cocky arrogance and telling RA it could have been saved from the coronovirus pain by accepting twiggy money as no one ever would have predicted the events unfolding and article is insensitive to lots of pain and hardship endured by many in society including professional sport.

Writing that force wont have to make any cuts is fine but to imply RAs predicament is all down to not accepting twiggy money is a complete disgrace

KevinO who of all the other elitist has stepped up to save any one of the current Super sides? Not sure it wouldn't be trumpeted in the press if that were to happen.

Was talking about the charity donations not the saving of the Force, Twiggys heart is in the right place. He just always wants to be recognized for spending his money.

Personally, I have no issue with the article nor its posting here at all. I am one of many here who lamented the sacking of the Force and the way it was done. It seems I'm now one of the few who are glad to see that they will survive this latest catastrophe.

BR well known that I was big supporter of force and rapid rugby and equally would have been first to be glad they will survive but poorly constructed article that went well beyond that point and in bad taste - enough said as my views very clear on this subject

I second this, the article is fine. It doesn’t say anything disparaging at all.

Those that were triggered give yourselves an uppercut and stop been so precious.

Nah, Twiggy’s sock puppet at the West crowing about the potential demise of RA due to this pandemic and slobbering over Twiggy’s wealth is in pretty poor taste in the current climate.............

The only self uppercuts should be administered by Nick Taylor.

Why are you taking this out against the Force, Forrest and Rapid Rugby, they didn't write the article

People, please chill. While Nick Taylor is supportive he certainly isn't a sock puppet, like many others he's just a sports journalist desperate for content in these difficult times.

there were some rather inflammatory articles released about the Force during the 'downsizing' period as well, and i remember similar sentiment from WA about the 'eastern bias in the media', not too dissimilar to the remarks been made now, just from the other side of the table.

If you guys want to go it alone, that is your choice I suppose. Maybe go the whole hog and press for secession? The Democratic Republic of Western Australia?

you are not too far off the track,WA are closing their borders midnight tomorrow,LOL

I think we actually voted for that in 1933, but the Commonwealth basically ignored the results of the referendum and introduced a grants commission to placate us.

It hasn't worked.

That would be interesting. What would the east do without 60 cents plus out of every GST dollar from WA?

Not really notice. Well, certainly not from a NSW and Vic perspective. Afterall, we've always given more than what we've recieved from the scheme.

This is so OT but ofc we’d notice. NSW/Vic would be paying even more than receiving (all other things being equal).
