Norton-Knight looked like he could've developed into a pretty good flyhalf, but unfortunately he went to the Tahs.......

I always liked him at 5/8. Really structured, thinking style of playmaker. Am I remembering him with rose colored glasses?

The Cardiff Blues supporters would say that he has no business getting anywhere near the 5/8 position. He had a rough time there. Word has it that he should be a fullback and fullback only.

Exactly right - it didn't take the commentators to catch on either.

One bloke apologised for him when he made a gaffe at 10 saying that he was really a fullback and was trying his best.

yeah right, clearly it was the "tahs" problem, not SNK's predictable play

At 10 he struggled because his kick from hand was too slow and he wasn't an attacking threat ball in hand. He just passed way behind the advantage with the defense ignoring him to drift

At 15 he couldn't beat a man on counter so it was high ball heaven.

yep clearly the Tahs fault

Looks like a top recruitment by the Force.

I wasn't going to comment on SNK in the interest of not being overly negative, but this is becoming too much. The position for a slow predictable 10/15 with a decent kick is already filled by the Force giving Dave Harvey a 2 year contract.

Not impressed at all. Who is making these selection decisions? The board on behalf of an undecided coach? I know RG's first year was basically wasted as he was employed too late to recruit any decent players, but I have seen nothing positive since RG was ditched. This is quickly turning into a clusterf*** and someone is going to have to take responsibility for it.

If all of this cloak and dagger bullshit is necessary to lure a world class coach I will admit I am wrong, but on the current Force trajectory I expect Vern Reid to come out in September and announce they have appointed Matt Burke.

People should give SNK a chance before judgement. On the flyhalf or Rugby playing in general side of things, what happens up North does not always happen down South & vice versa. I'd give him a go at 5/8 first.

The current Force recruitment policy seems to be to centred around reclamation projects (SNK) and taking a punt on young talent (Junior Rasolea). Ebersohn can be seen to fit in both those categories, although with the right team around him I think he will be good.

What is disappointing me though is the lack of top shelf, cream on the top, recruiting at the Force. Maybe Rugby WA is keeping their powder dry as far as a big recruit and new coach goes but they need something to give the franchise a kick in the ass and excite the fans heading into 2013.

There must be some decent off contract players available somewhere......unfortunately for us the only poaching the Force are doing at the moment seems to be the eggs in the cafeteria. Bon Appétit!

they still have 6 full contract players to name for next year not including Bam and there eps squad still plenty of players to come. plus a coach which i think has already been taken care off and are just waiting for the right time to announce.

yes because signing big name top shelf players has worked so well in the past

Top shelf player recruitment has a place in any team. It's a matter of getting the team chemistry right. I for one hope we continue to target the best to come to the Force.

The key is the coach.
Put in someone with a good rugby brain and good things will follow.
Then the club has to stay behind the the coach when he takes the hard decisions.
That will weed out the pretenders.

Harvey is bad enough, why compound the misery with a trundler like SNK? How about a bit of flair, for crying out aloud?

Call him SNK, Sam, Sammy or the Knightster, it will not matter cause he just cannot play.
Same for DH, Dave, Davo or Harves, he is way out of his depth too.
With the high turnover of players at the Force, these 2 might prove useful doing airport pick ups and drop offs.

Believing SNK is the same player who left a few years is a mistake. Wait and see how he plays now before you make a judgement.

SNK really left OZ too early in his rugby career… It will be good to see him back playing Super Rugby… I’m sure he’ll be a better player for his journeys... A Good signing for the Force
