It's a decision that doesn't really affect me either way...

If you're a Brumbies fan, and according to the drivel that was put out , "it makes it all but certain that David Pocock will leave to take up a big-money offer from the Brumbies," it does affect you.

....please enough with the drivel. Poey is going nowhere. He is Force through and through.

Question - does anyone know if Vern Reid and "the boys" on the Board are WA residents or East Coasters parachuted in to do the job?

This isn't to say that they couldn't do the job if they're not from the West, but the playing environment and market is radically different from Sydney or Brisbane.

Mostly locals. Vern Reid ran the Perth Wildcats previously in his career, during their most successful period. Many of the other members of the RugbyWA hierarchy are locals. I have known a few of them in my professional life.

i was justed on his Taps twitter page having a look around and someone on sat night had asked him if he had "resigned" with the reds. His answer was "First i've heard??''. not sure if he replyed because the person cant spell and he hasnt quit the reds or because no deal had been done. So might not be a done deal time will tell.

if they are signing people, do you think they've got their coach already stitched up? Surely they wouldn't sign new players without their coach's approval?

you would think that maybe waiting for the internationals to end someone like Scott Johnson who is with Scotland would be who i want.

I was watching that infamous Tahs vs. Force game from 2007 when Lote pushed SNK in the back after he took the quick tap. I had forgotten what a massive boot SNK has. I haven't seen him play since 2009 but a boot like that would be a very good asset for the Force.

The Western Force will today announce the signing of former Wallaby Sam Norton-Knight.

The twice-capped 28-year-old, who plays either fly-half or full-back, has been playing in Japan with Sanyo Wild Knights after previous Super Rugby spells with the Brumbies, Waratahs and a season in Wales with the Cardiff Blues.

I was thinking the other day whatever happened to this guy. He was a Wallaby starter at one point. Good to see him back.

Ebersohn & now SNK. Add a solid coach & I think the Force can be pretty happy. Pending injuries things should be a lot better in the back line with a couple of players like that.

Gee. If that's pretty much the whole picture, IMO you can understand RugbyWA's legitimate concern re declining ARU funding. To be granting SA and NT jointly - neither of whom will ever have S15 teams or even close - over twice the $ amount going to WA with the Force to support, seems inexplicable and inequitable.

Thank fark the Australian Antarctic Territories RU haven't asked for funding. WA might have got nothing.........
