Wow - just hope the Tahs continue to play like they did on the weekend (Kearns couldn't fault them). ball security was just maybe a little issue but that doesn't matter

Reds will probably get smashed

Shit Your right there mate, REDS ARE FUCKED... Kerns did blame the ball for the tahs school boy handling on the weekend. Hope it not the same ball this weekend

Why is such a problem to support your team and say they will win a big game against their most "hated" rival. Looking at the sarcasm that some of these koalas are putting on here you would think that we were the last labor government.

At least I hope its sarcasm and not some reach into reality that those north of the border tend to shun

Hmmm, say the Tahs did some good stuff, and it's "talking them up like they'll win the comp". Say they were a bit mixed, and it's unjustly trying to claim underdog status. I reckon if I claimed the Tahs wore sky-blue, someone from north of the Tweed would find cause to argue! ;)
And it's only Monday.
The Tahs wear baby blue. ;-)

Loving the banter so far!!

Im surprised no one is suggesting Beale start at 10 over Foley. Am I the only person who thinks Foley had a very average game vs the Force? A very mixed bag IMO, a couple of times dropped ball because he was thinking too far a head and then other times didn't think fast enough and got caught with it. Moving Beale to 10 and Horne to 12 would be my move. Of course i'm a Reds supporter though so i'm happy if they don't!
He was definately off his game but will be better for the run. He is a far better game manager (normally) then beale. Even though he was pretty ordinary he did do some classy stuff the inside ball to carraro who dished it on to beale for the try springs to mind.

He (Foley) will improve this week and the idea of beale chiming and popping up wherever he likes excites me from an attacking perspective.

Fat Cat will be dirty on himself and im expecting a huge game from him also.

Well well with the February premiership out of the way and the Tahs rightfully emphatically taking it out in Saturdays final at the SFS (Disappointing crowd for a final - then again it is only the February premiership) it's going to be interesting to see the Waratahs kick off their super rugby campaign.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and predict the following:

Reds 49 Waratahs 24

Reds:

Tries: Cooper, Toua (2), Schatz, F'Sautia, Genia
Conversion: Cooper (5)
Pen: Cooper (3)

Waratahs:

Tries: Folau (2), Betham, Beale
Conversion: Whoeverthefuckiskicking (2)

Sorry, Rebels clearly won the February premiership this year, posting a glorious undefeated record.

As a representative of a team that has won the past 15 titles, I am saddened to hand over the trophy, but happy for our Southern cousins.

Think the Waratahs are challenging that decision and intend to take it all the way to the high court hence the financial issues this year

Reds fans really lack finesse when it comes to trolling.

I'd always thought fishing was a very popular pasttime north of the Tweed. I guess you all just need a little more practice.

How can Queenslanders try to claim underdog status when you've been banging on about how much the tahs are overhyped. You either accept you are favourites, or that the reds are so shit they are worse than the overhyped underperforming tahs. There's no other option.

I'm assuming HeartPalpatations comment was in relation to my score prediction - I was being serious, no trolling, or 'Februaring' as its called down there South of tweed (to be precise North of the harbour ;) ) was intended

I think all of the underdog posts, have been a tongue in cheek throwback to another era.

From my perspective, their is no reason to be claiming anything but the favourites tag. We are after-all a consistently more successful side, who has earned the right. Whether the bookies agree with me is another matter entirely.

Our squad has been together for a long time, we are technically better, and our shape and playing roster is far more settled.

Folau and Hooper are clearly two players who can easily hurt us, but I think if we maintain our shape, we should make it a little tougher for them to have opportunities.

I would like to think we are a very good chance of getting the choccies.

Cmon tah fans we ar letting those cuddly koalas have all the attack - questions about Beale, questions about the lineout, questions about Foley.

lets now talk about how the reds went - how good was tapuai defending against Mogg when he ran around him and scored, how the qld scrum was pretty much dominated by the Brumbie scrum, how unimaginative their attack was, etc.

lets not allow those north of the border sow doubt and fear in us true believers. :)

So one missed tackle and a scrum defeat with a prop serving yellow card time - I'll take that any day of the week.
Actually, I thought the Blues defence was a bit brittle.

Tahs by 100. No doubt about it.
Your front row wallabies far out class ours and TPN hasn't knocked himself out for days now. Horwill and Simmons have no answer to Skelton even if he does only play one half. Palu is on a one game injury free streak surely a sign his mature body is now up to the rigors of the weekly grind of super rugby. Gill is no match for Hooper. He shaves and the sight of his beautifully groomed golden locks waving in the breeze as he runs around has had many a young waratah fan Embarrassingly excited. In fact the entire pack must be 10kg per man heavier. How could we hope to keep up. It will be just like those times we got smashed by those massive SA packs remember those times?
Phipps and Foley are the new Genia and Cooper who are way past there prime and must easily be well into their 30s by now. I especially like the way Phipps put on that sooky face when he doesn't get his way. I personally can't wait to see AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) feed quality ball to his back three all day and doesn't Beale look fit. Look a quality coaching team would have spent months coming up with a plan to nullify Folau but ours only started yesterday so I fully expect him to carve up. Which leaves us with wingers. Turner is old and slow and shipperly is on one leg and needs a haircut.
Reds are no chance in this one and should rightfully be underdogs.

Well Braveheart, it all comes down to the performance on the day.
Reds fans don't need to troll, as we sense another win against the Blues in the air, like last year, and the year before, and the year before that, and the year........................

Shipperly is on one leg and needs a haircut.

Jokes aside, what was with the haircut?

He was doing his best David 'Wolfman' Williams impression.

I hope that yesterday's game put to bed any suggestion that Folau should be moved from fullback.

Naturally I'm hoping for a Waratah victory and am expecting a much tougher assignment than against the Force.

Against all precedent, I'm also hoping that we see a high quality, high intensity game of rugby.

Who's the ref? (please don't say Glen Jackson)
