Any ideas on a realistic crowd figure? 25k would be a good result but should be so much bigger. Prizing bandwagoners off the couch is proving harder than expected.

2002 isn't so long ago that I don't remember it. LEt's not fuck with the team too much

I had only started getting into rugby then so it didn't leave too many scars. But if happened in 2014...

Those scars go so deep with me they'll never heal.

Bob Dwyer was a great coach and I love him to bits...but he was prone to the occasional brain fart and that was probably the biggest one of his career.

Still, I'd back that Crusaders team to beat the current All Blacks and that night they had one of those games where even their mistakes provided them with a try. Everything they touched turned to gold.

Sunday avo, great for families, team on top and playing great rugby, other team playing really well too. You'd hope for 30,000+. For me, 25K would be very disappointing.

The wheels really fell off in 3 weeks. Amazing that the Tahs still finished 2nd after losing to a hapless Reds, then 'that night' vs my lot and then getting a half ton put on them by the Ponies.

One of the great capitulations in Super rugby history I'd say :)

I think Tahs will win and win well. Primarily because I'm in Sydney for the weekend so will be there.

Tahs have 100% record in matches I have attended and been passively supporting them - 1 from 1. That was arvo game too so another reason to think they'll hand the Highlighters a belting.

I predict a good crowd too as bringing along a few Sydneysiders who wouldn't normally attend as they have noticed the Tahs bandwagon is rolling and they'd better jump on.

Just hope the caterers are expecting a big crowd.

This game will be won by the Tahs up front. From memory the Reds dominated the Clan in the set piece before the June test break. Tahs should be able to replicate. Defence needs to be top notch tho.

Anyone see the Highlanders defensive record on RHQ last night?. It amazed me that they could be where they are on table as they were ranked 14th and 15th in about 3 categories. They then showed Ben Smiths stats v Izzy which were very similar so I would think their attacking stats must be amazing to survive....
I think both teams can score but the Tahs negate the Highlanders with their ability to reset their line on counters whereas the Highlanders will struggle to get back methinks.
The Tahs have been very good at getting over the gain line on repeat phases which will open up most teams let alone a team whose stats read like the Highlanders. You are going to be feeding Izzy ,Beale and Bread with 4th phase ball whereas Smith and co will be countering off 1st and 2nd phase or kick returns when the Tahs have a line set and forward line speed. Makes a difference.

Highlanders have only kept their opposition under 20 points twice this season.

They've had a lot of games decided by only a few points either way as well.

The Tahs have gone for a 6 forward bench!

Latu, Tilse, Ryan, Chapman, McCutcheon, Skelton.

Not sure who the other two are. Presumably McKibbin and Lance or Naiyaravaro.

Naiyaravaro needs to play both remaining matches to be eligible for the finals but you'd be setting yourself up for lots of potential reshuffles if he's the only non halfback reserve.

Yeah it says McKibbin and Taqele. 6 forwards is interesting, wonder if Hooper is planning to get a rest if we're up?

Uni wouldn't be happy losing McCutcheon for a big clash with Eastwood.

No guessing what kind of game we'll play with virtually a whole pack to come on, a tactic Cheika picked up in France no doubt. Hopefully as BH said Hooper gets a good rest if we get up, I'd like to see Palu and TPN get the hook as well if we have a good lead.

That said heres hoping there aren't a couple of early injuries in the backline or else we're up a certain creek without a paddle.
