Potgieter is quicker than Fitzgerald. Really strange move by the Chiefs to drop Leitch for him, Smith exploited it beautifully.

One option the Tahs might try is to put Hooper on the larger blind sides just to make Aarone Smith think twice. Also I'd say the Tahs might have the edge in the scums they have really improved at attacking when it's the other teams feed.

The Tahs have to smash their pack, particularly the tight five where I think we've got a substantial advantage.

The loss of Pryor is also substantial given the form he's been in. I'm surprised Gareth Evans isn't starting.

Evans has been mainly used as an impact player and a pretty good one at that.

As of 2.00pm today, they still hadn't opened up the top tier of the Paddington side (I like bays 47 & 53 up there, decent view and dry)

1:00 Friday and it is still not on sale

Plenty of seats still available in shitty "premium" seats like bay 16

Crowd Prediction? 25,000

Thank The Lord that KB (Kurtley Beale) isn't playing!
Finally have Carraro who runs hard and tackles well unlike Beale who misses tackles like no tomorrow. Carraro is a through an through classy, tough footballer!

25k?? It's a really poor crowd for this match. I mean should be a tremendous game

Dear oh bloody dear, this could be, should be, one of the rugby matches of the decade.

Deserves a sell-out.

The other semi-final is almost a sell-out stadium. Less than 400 tickets still available according Westpac Twitter account

Where are the rugby supporters from Sydney?

Anybody care to wager their Avatar on the outcome? I am travelling today and will check back in this evening so there won't be an instant reply.

Snow season. School holidays starts today as @Tahtrajic says above. Plus reasons.

People make plans months out, particularly when the Tahs were looking a little flaky early in the year, and those plans cost money to opt out of.

SURELY there're a shitload of Kiwis claiming the dole here in Sydney who'd like to support their countrymen. C'mon bros, we'll let you bring your cuzzys as yer keds, grab a family pass and get to the game.

oh shit, I just had a shocking thought, whatFT happens if BOTH aussie teams lose their semis? An all NZ final, this place will be a torrent of domestic online violence against those cheating kiwi wankers all next week. Us foreign freaks will need some sort of online domestic violence shelter thread to cocoon ourselves away from the hurtful language and abusive barbs headed our way. Plus there will be about 7 posts of discussion all week about the upcoming final.

Sully and his camera seen here keeping busy during finals week.

I must admit the same dark thought occurred to me while listening to Nick McArdle get us ahead of ourselves on Rugby HQ. Just rapt here we have two genuine contenders in the last 4. And its hard to ignore Cheikas track record. Some blokes are good at finding ways to win. If the Tahs really front up, the Highlanders will have their hands full!
