Maybe he had Covid?Unfortunately, it was far more than 1 moment as far as I could tell.
Even when he was in the line he was basically hands on knees blowing like a flathead out of water.
I've been a defender of his position in the Wallabies, but it's not tenable now.
7 turnovers for DMac alonesaw DMac cough one up under pressure & have read there were others?
Maybe he deserves 7 pts for Tahs best on field, as opposed to the 6 pts I gave him last night.7 turnovers for DMac alone
Its already clear that Super Rugby has told the refs NOT to protect players from head injury. In the Reds/Brumbies game Noah Lolesio coat hangered the halfback only to hear "its only a penalty, he hit his shoulder first". Because of the shape of the shoulder, almost every swinging arm that hits the shoulder will cannon up onto the head. But its alright because he hit the shoulder first. I do not recall one straight red this comp and we are up to round 8, and I think there is only one yellow that has been upgraded to 20 min red. I don't blame the refs for that, they are all obviously working under instruction. That was a remarkable win, WTF has that been the last fortnight. Two dis-allowed tries, one fair, the other dubious, the final five minutes defending against the leading team in Super rugby for 30 plus phases with a man down to win, can only be described as heroic. You would like to think that would change the mind-set of this team, the need to play for 80 minutes believing they are a team that can always win.
So many big performances, I can't name a single member of the run-on side that didn'tproduce a big performance. One I will mention is Teddy Wilson, not ready for the Lions, but what a prospect for 2027 WC.
Finally, if the high hit on JAS with the shoulder doesn't result, our game has learnt nothing about protecting players from head injury.
This is a bit hyperbolic. If there was a concern for Tate's health he would of been taken off for a HIA enforced by the doctor. Its already clear that Super Rugby has told the refs NOT to protect players from head injury. It should happen every-time there is a yellow level head knockThis is a bit hyperbolic. If there was a concern for Tate's health he would of been taken off for a HIA enforced by the doctor.
4 reds cards so far this season, and 5 suspensions by the judiciaryIts already clear that Super Rugby has told the refs NOT to protect players from head injury. Man, that's a load of bollocks. But it is what it is.No citing for Wrampling's hit on Siua'ali'i, citing commissioner doesn't see it as meeting the red card threshold.
I've watched it a few times - so good. My 6yo when we watched the game was "Kellaway is a super speedy winger - can anyone catch him?" Ah, the idealism of the young - he's getting good at remembering their names though.
I have genuinely watched this somewhere between 50 and 100 times now.
Is the argument that initial contact shoulder to shoulder, i wonder? No citing for Wrampling's hit on Siua'ali'i, citing commissioner doesn't see it as meeting the red card threshold.
Possibly, but I doubt we'll be told. I'm not sure how public they make the non-decisions, all I saw was the report that it wasn't cited. Is the argument that initial contact shoulder to shoulder, i wonder?
