Waratahs v Brumbies, 7.45pm, Sat 8th June, BankWest (Parra) Stadium

Up the Guts

Steve Williams (59)
So looking into the game. Where are the mismatches?

Overall I'd say:

Brumbies forwards > Waratahs
Waratahs backs > Brumbies

Breaking that down a little:
Brumbies tight 5 > Waratahs
Waratahs loosies > Brumbies
Waratahs halves > Brumbies (sorry BR)
Brumbies centres > Waratahs
Waratahs back 3 > Brumbies

Brumbies superior everywhere but in the halves imo (and CLL has been pretty good this past month). Brumbies could run away with it like last year if they find a rhythm early.

Tasi is a former leaguie who now plays for Gordon. He also played trial games for the Rebels this year.

True, flying down a highway at 150 with .25 in your blood would be a little more serious.

DUI's one thing but it was a Thursday before training he would have been drunk at work as well, if he showed up. He also didnt disclose the issue.

But I think its right he hasn't had any off field issues before, he should get a slap on the wrist and last warning. He also had no drives license at the time as it was suspend (don't know why ?) He earns enough to probably catch public transport for a while.

Strong team with all Wallabies intact. Will be a hard fought match no matter which way it goes.

HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) off the bench for 30 - 20 minutes is a real handful, and can turn momentum with his ruck involvements.

That first point speaks to whether you should look at re-signing him next time rather than if you terminate him.

This issue will continue because what will be seen as a light punishment to Latu for a criminal charge and conviction will be compared with Folau's termination. People will accuse RA of treating someone "quoting the Bible" as being treated more seriously than someone drink driving.

What won't be mentioned is that this is Latu's first offence, he's shown remorse, pleaded for his job and gone to counselling etc. Compare that with Folau who refused to budge at any point of the way to make his continued employment possible.

In some ways, sorry to see Brown relegated. He's been in top form lately and very good over the ball.

With these back row players, I would go with 6. Cusack, 7. Samu, 8. Valetini.
