what an odd comment. What’s the alternative? Play the pre-season trials post season when it’s cooler?

Think before you need to have a shot at anything I say on here.

Maybe a twilight or evening kick-off. Would have thought when I said "I get they are likely to get them home same day as the game" it would imply that is my alternative.

Not a whinge mate, you just have a jaded take on anything I write and often anyone who dares have any thought you haven't had.

I know trials at the end of it seem to mean fuck all for most sides especially the settled ones but it could have been planned for a place with lights quite easily if they wanted to.

I find it astounding that Ballymore can't host night games. When did this happen?

around 2022 when the floods took the lighting switchboards for a swim.
QRU hoped to upgrade them as part of NRTC, budget must not have allowed, now pegged to the eastern stand upgrades/government funding. Looking at almost $1million for broadcast standard fitout, so not cheap.

Hopefully that comes through. Perfect venue for Super Rugby Aus level games and underage rep.

Slightly on the topic of Ballymore but probably more appropriate for the thread on the place itself but Olympic funding may not be there. Have been apart of some projects that tie into the Olympics and it wasn't on the list of venues and geographic locations of priority. Will be a good time for the other regions of SEQ.

It's not marked for any major investment or hosting events, but still a fair chance it'll pick up funding as a supporting facility for the games. i.e. hosting teams/training/high-performance type.
