Unless he's keen to play in the Centres I don't see it at the Tahs with the group of outside backs there.

Reds might be after a 15 but the Brums have Muirhead, O'Donnell off contract and getting older. Wilcox, Pritchard great prospects but no experience yet.

Teddy Wilson is a great re-signing, would've had plenty of interest from elsewhere. I wonder if we'll see his brother back at the tahs shortly.

I tend to think less options at 10 (who are all basically the same standard) maybe a positive, just let Creighton own the jersey and grow into the spot. I thought he looked poised and organised

The reality there is no Barrett hidden away in the SS, just let him build cohesion

We just kept chopping and changing all season with ongoing issues around units not knowing what the other is going to do

100% You can see how Donaldson has owned his Jersey after leaving the Tahs and finding some consistency, hopefully Edmed finds his spot at the Brums too. Ofcourse we wanting to pick the best team week by week, but we might just get a better team if we can stick to some combinations.

Creighton is definitely the best option imo and should be given the 10 jersey next season and kept there to build and develop cohesion. He should never have been replaced this year.

The Tahs should have had more patience with developing Donaldson and Harrison. Both very talented footballers who were signed quite young and thrown into the cauldron without much experience. One has gone on to become a Wallaby and the other one would have if not for a run of consecutive injuries.

Unfortunate nature of professional contact sport in a lot of ways. Very few are great from the get go and you need time to develop physically unlike sports like Soccer, Basketball etc where the physicality isnt directly at each other like Rugby.

We see a 20yo get paid and expect them to play, no good for a couple years then cast them aside. New side gets them at 23-24 and suddenly they seem better. I tend to think it's a lot simpler than gurus and stuff like that.

I don't think that the Tahs really lost patience or cast Donaldson aside

Donaldson went to the Force for more money (+ an RA top up) than the Tahs were offering.

It's not like they weren't offering for him to stay. Others were just offering more. This is how a salary cap constrained comp works.

Harrison is currently 25 years old, and is the second choice 10 in Div 2 Japan rugby, and has started just 5 times this year. I'd say he has a lot of rugby to go before he shows the Tahs made a wrong decision there

I think the problem was they had 3 of them there and didn't commit fully to any of them

Good young prospect. Hasnt looked out of place in 1st grade for West Harbour for a young guy. Holding him long term will be an issue with 2 senior players signed through 2028 but gives time to develop properly.
