Waratahs 2021

You'd sorta think natural progression would be to promote the half youve been playing off the bench?

Either way, have the other on the bench if things go to shit.

Totally agree with everything that Ben Batger says. These kids continue to get an arm-chair ride because they played in an Aus 20's team that had some success. I saw Donaldson play last year for Randwick and he was not even a good first grader never lone a Super Rugby player. Smacks of Whittaker wanting to pick his Galloping Green mates. Edmed has done his time and deserves a chance.

You know your rugby champion! Donaldson had a great game... played whole 80 minutes. Batger .. dig a hole and dive in...

So the Tahs are playing better, they are actually scoring tries. Getting closer against opposition.

Maybe just maybe, Penney WAS a big problem

Just as a matter of interest, which SS club do you support?

The Mighty Rats .. I just found Batger’s comments extremely poor and in the end made him look a little silly in a massive understatement. Edmed is a good player too but the Waratah coaches obviously backed their second string 10 over their 3rd string. Results speak for themselves.

I think the Rebels have some good young 10s, but they’re both playing club rugby in Queensland.
Force are probably most desperate, and QLD has zero depth there as well

Not likely we can keep them all though. Three great 10’s where the Rebels and Force are desperate for one.

Perhaps we swap one for either Rodda or Phillip/Hosea?
It would be good to share the wealth for the good of Australian rugby. Better Edmed or Donaldson (assuming Harrison stays first choice) playing for someone here and pushing for wallabies spots instead of playing in Japan or Europe.

I think Qld and NSW do this by default, no? Not necessarily by intent, mind you! ;)

But did you happen to notice the guys who are leading the charge - guys like Gordon, Perese in particular - who he didn’t have at all & Harris, Bell, Swinton, Foketi, Donaldson & HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) who were missing for parts of the time - are back on the field now too.

Maybe, just maybe he was but he sure got dealt a fucking ordinary hand.

Swinton, Gordon, Perese, bell, harris, HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) all played round one. The team looked lost.

The team also look like it is playing to a decent game plan. The team on the weekend had Douglas, Gamble, Breen etc all kids who didn't get the run.

In relation to Donaldson they still had Harrison.

Rodda & Phillip basically turned their backs on the tah's & I cant see Hosea jumping ship to an other Super Rugby side given he is the face of rugby in Victoria now.

Maybe look at someone off contract & in the same ball park for an opportunity, why would the Force/Rebels swap a wallaby for a good club player just breaking through the ranks into Super Rugby?
