The Waratahs will need to sign a forwards coach pretty damn quickly.

RA were a big help with the Reds getting Peter Ryan and Jim McKay.

Hopefully they can assist in getting a quality forwards coach for the Tahs. Any suggestions?

Jim Williams? Especially given the speculation that the NRC will be redundant.

Also worth noting these squad spots tend to pay peanuts and many older SS players are reluctant to give up their day jobs to hold tackle bags on 70k.
70k? That is a goddamn fortune! Man, aussie rugby, still so posh. Don't any rugby players have proper munty grunty jobs like bouncers or piano movers or council workers or freezing workers over there? Welcome to Otahuhu baby!

Its actually more like 40k a year for SS.

So giant young lock Nick Frost is heading back to Australia and is going to the Brumbies not the Tahs.

Miller is apparently also going to the Brumbies

Kepu is apparently going to London Irish

Curious who the Tahs get

Are the Brumbies definitely chasing Will Miller? Interesting, maybe Tom Cusack might be gearing up to have a crack at next year's Olympics and could miss next year plus Poey will be likely done after the World Cup. Cusack would probably be more likely than Wells to make the 7s with that bit extra pace and dynamism.

Same article that refers to Miller going south suggests Cusack has signed for next year already.

So the Tahs are so far looking at Losing Miller, Kepu, Rona, Phipps and possibly Folau.

With no one ready to step up into the run on 3 a replacement 3 is required but who?

Any rumours on who the Tahs maybe looking at for players next year?

What’s the go at the brumbies?

AAA, Sio, Slipper are all too good for one of them to be sitting on the bench

Tip of the iceberg? I reckon AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) won't be around for another year after the RWC and I'm sure I've seen that Foley is off, or almost certain to be off. Is KB (Kurtley Beale) signed for another year?

There will be a mass exodus of professional players from Australia after RWC. Not just the Waratahs.

That's true QH. Plenty leaving the Brumbies it seems. Maybe we need a new Super Rugby 2020 thread to start discussing the numbers leaving each of the franchises and their ramifications in terms of recruitment and perceived weaknesses.

I actually really rate this set-up from a Wallaby perspective.

A good level of rotation should benefit them in the long run. Someone did a minutes played comparison between the Wallabies and All Blacks last year and the gulf is exceedingly large. The ABs keep their stars fresh and it makes a difference.

Kepu, on the other hand, is regularly playing 70 minute games.

That's not surprising but it is interesting in that his last stint over there didn't go so well. From memory he hated and got a release after about 3 months. I'd say he's doing the PI thing and taking one for the team (family) to accumulate a bit of coin before he hangs the boots up.
