NSW Government has just approved the stadium redevelopments.

SFS to be demolished at the end of 2018 and a new stadium rebuilt.

Stadium Australia to follow at the end of 2019.

He played a handful of games for Scots in Year 12 at Inside Centre but he played at Number Eight for the Scots 1st XV in Year 10, 11 and 12.

That's where he played his representative footy as well.

That was simply a case of putting your best player where he got the ball the most at lower levels.

It saw Kellaway play at flyhalf and inside centre a bit in high school. It also saw Wells and Hooper play at 12 in highschool / for Manly respectively.

Crichton would be an eight or six through-and-through.

Yep, I know he played in the backrow before year 12 but seem to remember most of his games at inside in year 12 like you said just for his ball running ability. I recall he was tall but surely not above 190cm, he'd be a McMahon style back rower if he did play there, wouldn't he? No doubting his ability though.

With the latest force signings announced, the last cabs off the rank look like Coleman, McCalman, Rona and Louwrens.

We need them all!! We are really week in the o/s backs and lock area plus need a 3rd halfback.

Rebel Force have signed Ainsley, Daley, Faulkner, Rangi, Philip, RHP, Hardwick,Lance,
Ruru, Meakes, and DHP. 11 plus a coaching team by my count

Brumbies have signed Naisarani, Richie Arnold, Verity Amm, Peni. 4 by my count but read there is one more somewhere.

Waratahs have signed Newsome and Vui. Total 2.

Reds nil as far as I know. However they have some great U20's coming though plus have picked up some quality NRC players to boot.

If we don't get Rona plus one of the halfbacks then heads need to roll at the top. Is Gibson that much on the nose???? (Probably..)

We've signed a few youngsters and clubbies (thanks Mr Cron..) but somehow ended up with the human wet lettuce leaf Rob Simmons and the park footy standard Staniforth when we knew that Matt Philip (a sydney boy) and Coleman would be on the market!!

What is going on with recruitment at TAH HQ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Roger Davis doesn’t quite understand why they can’t attract talent either

"The idea was to have four strong sides. That is why the talented was supposed to be reallocated," Roger Davis said.

"Most of the players have gone to Melbourne, which is really disappointing. I understand why the Force players have gone. They have stuck with their coach

He might like to give some thought to the fact that had the Tahs been shut down then the chances of Gibson going to the Rebels would have been zero. What player wants to come to Sydney to be coached by Gibson? McCalman and Rona may have to due to lack of any other options but I bet they're not wildly enthusiastic!

One of the problems I can see with bringing Crichton over from league is where he would play positionally. He was playing in the centres at Scots but it'd take a lot of adjustment to move back into the centres at a professional level, not nearly as easy as playing on the wing like Koroibete. Sam Burgess had a similar problem trying to pick up playing in centres when he moved from the Rabbitohs into the English team.

Ben Teo didn’t. That attitude is why he went to league in the first place. Did you see his interview?

The point I was making wasn't that there's no position for Crichton to play in Union. With the talent he's shown at the Rabbitohs he probably easily could have broken into the Waratahs at least by now had he stayed and remained playing in the backrow. The point I was making was that now with no prospect of him coming back to union for at least a couple of years if he did decide to come back it would take longer for him to adjust since he hasn't played since schoolboy level. Compounding this is that he'd probably be most suited to the back row but he hasn't played there since he was 16 and 17 because of the way he was shuffled around at schoolboy level.

Demolishing Allianz is great for the Tahs.

It gives us a season or two to play in Western Sydney and Regional NSW to re-engage with our fanbase. And then we get a brand new stadium, where you''ll only have to queue for 15 minutes to get a beer, instead of the 25 you do now!

I thought Tahs didn’t want to play in Western Sydney?

I wouldn’t be surprised to see them take a large chuck of the games to Manly. Do you really think the Waratahs are going to take many games to regional NSW? I don’t.

I personally think completely rebuilding Allianz is a joke, it’s rarely ever at capacity, reality is that 30k capacity would be sufficient for all of the regular hosts..

Allianz is poorly positioned and even with the new lightrail it’s still lacks the PT accessibility needed for a stadium of its size. For the money allocate they would have been better off building the new stadium somewhere like over the Central Station rail yards.

SCG Trust have managed to pull the wool over the eyes of the NSW Government on this one.

and yet it has real pubs, bars and restaurants within walking distance(unless you go fox studios); whereas the other stadiums simply don't

That’s about the only thing it has going for it to be honest.

They will have the new Parramatta Stadium built by that point, which may be too good to refuse. Agree they would go to Brookvale a few times as well, hopefully. SCG too.

It is the reason I can get to more games, being able to properly feed and water the boss lets me see more rugby The concept of going to Homebush or say Parramatta is not surprisingly less edifying.

And what evidence is there that the Brumbies are breaching the salary cap? Just speculation at the moment isn’t it?

You should take that one up with Wayne Smith... link and excerpt below apparently quoting a RA spokesman. http://www.theaustralian.com.au/spo...s/news-story/55ab52f729d5ded529e0d9381a8f4134 "While the Waratahs and Reds are understood to be fairly safely under the salary cap, it is believed the Brumbies could also be over, especially after singing Force backrower Isi Naisarini, lock Richie Arnold and, as of yesterday, champion winger Chance Peni. And with David Pocock returning next season from his sabbatical and Christian Lealiifano set for a full season of Super Rugby after his temporary off-season move to Ulster, the Brumbies’ budget is understood to be at breaking point. “It won’t only be Melbourne that will be over the caps,” said a Rugby Australia spokesman yesterday. “It’s hard to say until everything materialises at each of those squads whether each team is going to be over. We don’t think every team is going to be over the $5 million but certainly there will be more than one."
