If he comes back as the Dean Mumm who fended off Marcel Coetzee than it's a good move, but if he's more like the rest of his career than its probably not worth it, over investing in youth.

Chapman will retire at the end of the year i expect, i think Mumm is a direct replacement for him. bringing an old head in to back up the front line locks and nurture the young guys through.

Anyone watching the U20's will note that the boys smashed Tonga 60 to not much and are looking good to win the U20's national champs. There are some good players coming through who could do with some guidance and experience

The addition of a specialist scrum coach is paying off.

It'll be interesting to see whether the performance against the Brumbies (and without TPN) brings the Tahs scrum any respect; but I won't be holding my breath.

Paddy Ryan still doesn't have his head screwed on though. His work off the bench is terrible, and I wonder whether he wouldn't benefit from starting occasionally

Would rather they brought Mowen back with the gap in salary left by Kepu, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), Palu etc.

I think it's a pretty good buy. I really doubt they're buying him thinking he'll be any kind of trump card. He'll be able to start or bench no worries and put pressure on the other locks to maintain form.
