This was mentioned in the Grumbles Growden thread.

Most likely, when you look at the Tahs who started for the Wallabies last year. TPN copped his share of knocks during the international season and kept getting starts. I remember being surprised that Squeaky Moore didn't start more often last year.

No surprise if he, or any Tah, isn't treated well. Tahs HQ are not renowned for their management of the organisation, just look at how they allowed so many player contracts to conclude at the same time.

Very sad if he was to leave Australian rugby as he is one of the players who appears to do a lot of work to engage with community rugby.
If true regardless of contracts chase James Hanson

Should we buy Beale? NSW boy, clear family links in Sydney. Arguably wants to return. Bloody good player. But personal issues galore.

^ If the Tahs signed KB (Kurtley Beale), Chieka should read him the riot act beforehand so he should be well aware that the coach won't put up with any of the crap he's carried on with in year's past.

Lots of speculation on what's happened in SAf at the moment. So need some clarity on that as well.

Given it's made clear that he's expected to clean up his act, train as hard as everyone else and play for the team. Then, yes. I actually think someone like Chieka would be good for Beale. No nonsense and authoritative. Something I honestly don't think he's ever had. Could and it's a big could help him fulfill his potential.

I'm bias tohugh. Having seen him play in schoolboy's I was a fan from a long way back and it was never in doubt he'd make it. I just think that he should be back here and if he's willing to play ball with Chieka, he should be a real star once again for the Tahs.

I was worried when he went to the Rebels that losing the structure he had in Sydney would be detrimental. Seems like a young man with some demons. Perhaps being closer to home would be good for Kurtley -- as a player and as a guy with a whole lot of life ahead of him.

What IS said. KB (Kurtley Beale)'s extended family were giving him shitloads of trouble in Sydney, something along the lines of Andrew Walker's coterie of family and friends. At the time I thought it was a smart move on Kurtley's part to remove himself potential trouble but, it seems, the temptations of that southern den of iniquity have been too much for him. JOC (James O'Connor)'s presence can't be helping. Maybe Cheika could be the best thing for Kurtley.

Anyone got any insights on how Grandpa Gaffney's gentle hands are guiding the Tahs?

All true, but he had his shit together in his last two seasons up here. Clearly the change of scenery has not done him any good.

I would take KB (Kurtley Beale) back in a heartbeat. He clearly has his issues and things in Melbourne are only getting worse. Perhaps the latest indiscretions will save the Tahs $50k off his pay packet next year. Who knows?

I think under an authoratarian leader like Cheika and with some senior guys around him KB (Kurtley Beale) will be fine at the Tahs again. It definitely sounds like he'd do better living in a different city to JOC (James O'Connor).

KB (Kurtley Beale) would certainly add a lot to the Tahs on the field, but when you have a new coach trying to build a new culture in the organization is he the kind of character you'd want around? If it were up to me I'd only sign him a contract with various stipulations regarding his off field behaviour, i.e. f*** around off the pitch and we cut you loose straight away, no second chances etc.

he would be a good move for you guys, though what does it say to hard workers and straight shooters like israel, foley etc who bust their buts only to be replaced by a d!ckhead.

hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard, and KB (Kurtley Beale) is falling into the latter side. But, i do agree that Melbourne doesnt seem to be working for him. question is whether sydney would
ultimately i think you guys will pick him up with a very strict contract.
i think that delve and probably higgers aside, we just dont have enough old hard nuts (and higgers isn't that old) so a guy like KB (Kurtley Beale) can run a bit wild as some of the younger guys dont want to cross paths with the wallaby incumbant.
on that basis, you can only hope that being around some of the older more mature waratahs players would help.

I think the Tahs will probably lose Barnes at the end of the season. He is a star player that needs to be replaced. Beale fits that requirement as he plays 10 and 15.

I don't think we can only look to recruit players who would be behind Foley and Folau in the pecking order. I am massive fans of both of them and think that Folau might get pushed to the wing with the return of KB (Kurtley Beale) but Foley should stay 10.

I really hope we can re-sign Folau. He seems to be enjoying himself and he is getting better each game. He could be incredible by next year.
