Thought I may start a thread if it doesn't upset anyone , as the curtainraiser for the first 2 Bledisloes are Black Ferns vs Wallaroos, and think they may deserve their own thread. Personally as grumpy old man I have finally accepted Women's rugby is a very valid part of our great sport!

And was real pleased to see the Aboriginal greeting to the Black ferns when they landed at Sydney, big ups to all involved and I think one the feel good things happening in Australia.

Mate, you obviously didn't get the memo/ group email: it's not a curtain-raiser it's the first match of a double-header........

Yep BH, there's wall to wall rugby on Sat on Fox, got ITM cup in afternoon, leading into this match. I will be at GPS rugby saturday, but will certainly make effort to get home and watch the Women play, I really think it is going to create a bit of a new audience for our great game!
And I have to admit I feeling a little guilty I don't know enough about the 2 teams!

Gotta wonder who bullies a little girl for playing rugby & more importantly, why? My God there's some horrible people out there.

That was a good story from the BFs WOB, seems they have got their hearts and minds in right place. Actually was reading on a post that All Blacks went to a homeless shelter last week , cooked lunch etc for the people there, and not done with a lot of publicity, it's good to see these things!

We’re actually not bad with ball in hand the Black Ferns are just so much better at set piece we can never retain possession.

Ok I was a little disappointed with the standard of play, perhaps I expected too much! Both teams seemed to struggle with their passing game.

Hands were pretty bloody good really, it was the other fundamentals that lacked a little.
