Toutai Kefu had a run for the Caloundra Light houses reserve grade a few weeks back and apparently just exploded the rucks single handedly to nearlly beat the maroochydore (wankers) swans. Bit jealous, i wouldn't mind to have a crack at him just for the sake of it, and just to say i did. Would have failed horribly i suspect, but it wouldn't have stopped me.

Crofty was two rows behind me at the Reds v Brumbies game last year at suncorp.
When we were kids my brother wrote a letter to John Eales. Weeks later Brisbane brothers toured the NT. The phone rang one night and it was John Eales asking to speak to Robbie (my brother). He said he would be in Darwin on the weekend and would love to meet us. True to his word, he met us. We have seen him a couple of times since and he still remembers Robbie. What a champion.
Robbie Deans ran a junior coaching session in August last year. He made himself available to all the parents and everybody else for a chat. He was genuinly interested in what the locals had to say. Very impressive and a champion in my books.
Four years ago I was staying at the QLD leukemia foundations units and they took a group of us to meet the Reds at training. I met John Roe, Chris Latham and Elton Flatley. Really nice blokes. There was a little boy in the group who had Leukemia and was buggered and did not have much time left (stuff that makes grown men cry). The way the Reds boys played with this kid was amaizing. The way they gave this poor little bugger somthing to smile about was truely special.
The 2003 RWC did a training camp in the Top End and spent some time in Arnhem Land. After they held an open training session in Darwin and were getting back on the team bus, I said good luck to George Smith and he gave me a high five. I could not help but think what a nice bloke.

You'd be right - I am not his biggest fan, however an opportunity arose to go there at someone else's drinking expense, and since I had never been there and had a few drinks under the belt, the decision was not exactly debated hard in my head! Less wonderful than expected.

My mate was playing blackjack in the casino on the Gold Coast and then realised he was sitting next to Elton Flatley, had a chat with him for a while and had drinks afterwards.
