I like this Paul Cully article about the coach search:

I was wondering if Rennie might suddenly become a candidate for the All Blacks gig but that article seems to put that one to bed. Is that 100% the mail though?I like this Paul Cully article about the coach search:

Rugby Australia officials are continuing to tell people that Dave Rennie is the new Wallabies head coach, taking over from Michael Cheika.
A Wallabies source told the Herald that high-ranking RA staff were informing those who may be in contention for a back-up staff role, or are wanted to bolster the head office ranks, that Rennie has the job.
Yeah, remember what happened last year when RA leaked they were chatting with jake white though!Last week they reported that everyone in the RA offices have allegedly already been informed that Rennie is the new coach....

However, Growden did co-author that piece with Gee Rob... Radio could be the source.
As much as it looks like recruiting Eddie Jones is unlikely, weirdly enough our best hope might be if England win the World Cup.
He can then go out on top, be clapped out the door by the RFU to do whatever he wants.
The big question is... is he a patriot? That might be our best hope to get him. I'm not sure if he loves the Wallabies or has any emotional attachement, but if he does then we are in with a chance.
I'm not sure he's a guy who is motivated by money. I also think the 'can he work with Scott Johnson' question is a very good one, as others have raised here.
.
I don't remember Eddie ever coaching the Reds.

I'm worried about the lack of test coaching experience from Rennie, Cully's article saying "but he coached one game against the British and Irish Lions" doesn't really stack up as a good excuse.
At this point in time i think we need an old head coaching, not an inexperienced test coach that will almost certainly make mistakes along the way while finding their feet at test level
In saying that he isn't a bad option overall, just unsure if he should be frontrunner as is apparently the case, he should be our backup if all other options fail
The budget to get / support Eddie.
