Personally, I think he'd be a better flyhalf for us than Quade going into the finals...

Bob Dwyer said it ages ago - if you want to watch champagne rugby pick QC (Quade Cooper) - but if you want to win the RWC pick BB. It was demonstrated (again) today......
Sadly, I think the Boks will control the game next week and just do enough to get thru.
cheers,

Agree regarding BB, hope to christ dennyj is wrong about SA.

looking at the stats, the ruskies has us beat just about everywhere except on the scoreboard. That was shit and very frustrating to watch. The darkeness and Saffas would have put 120 on the Ruskies today I think.......and as usual, RD has jack shit to say for himself after the game.

At the end of it all, it was pretty shit - our performance was underwhelming, lacked structure, set piece was inconsistant and we picked up a couple of injuries. The only positives for me were Barnes, Bam Bam and JOC (James O'Connor)'s kicking.

Obviously there isn't the time or numbers to test this out...

Thats only because he quite deservedly takes McCabes spot in the XV. Australia does look much more dangerous with 2 ball players in the side so we need both. They were combining very well in the first half.

McCalman was crap again when Pocock went off. Fainga'a did much more at the break down than McCalman. If RD does not want to bring over a back up 7 then play Fainga'a as the back up 7.

Stick Cooper on the bench and start Barnes at 10. Cooper has been found out big time at the back over the last couple of weeks - HE CAN"T CATCH A HIGH BALL TO SAVE HIMSELF. Bring on the Boks and watch them drop them down his neck all night long. Put him on the bench and bring him on with 30 to go if we need him. His option taking seem sto be getting worse every week. The only thing that saved him tonight was a couple of them actually stuck but there were still more errors than miracles created. What the f**k is our backline going to be next week? and more interestingly, who will RD be buying a plane ticket for?

Higgers was crud... Couldn't hold onto the ball...

Spewing about Slipper's injury, he was playing great and has been pushing for a starting spot.

Also feel so sorry for Mitchell, my house went silent when that happened, poor bloke.

I font know about that...

Had been playing LH and wasn't going to take KEpu's spot...

Cooper is obviously a talented player, but there are just too many brain farts that directly lead to opposition points... And having to hide in defense is still an issue...

Barnes is a smarter player with less errors, can tackle, but also provides as good as passing and kicking game as Cooper...

I'd love to try a Genia/Barnes halves combo with some strong running centres...

But too late to try anything now...

I think they work well together (Barnes/Cooper) when at 10 and 12 - they interchange or take either side of the ruck well.

Burgess did a lot well in the first half, but his pass is loopy, inaccurate and cuts out the receivers options because it arrives at the same time as the defence.

Out of 10.
JOC (James O'Connor) - 7 - Handling was shiet but looked dangerous, good kicking.
Samo - 7.5 - Did what he needed to, out of position but still strong.
AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) - 6.5 - Really unnoticeable in attack, good defence but seemed to go missing.
Barnes - 8 - Looks promising, surely our first choice 12.
Mitchell - 7 - Unlucky, was playing very well, set up a few tries.
Cooper - 7 - Above average but still made stupid decisions. Electric in the first half.
Burgess - 8 - Thought he was brilliant, was everywhere and made some good breaks through tired forwards.
McCalman - 4 - Didn't notice him once apart from the try.
Pocock - 9 - Best on ground by a mile.
Higgenbotham - 7.5 - Effective, strong performance. We look a stronger side with him at 6.
Sharpe - 7 - Played well and made good statement for starting XV.
Horwill - 7 - Replaced early, looked shit without him.
Kepu - 6.5 - Replaced early, came back on late but our scrum really wasn't where we need it to be.
Moore - 8 - Same as Pocock and Horwill, we looked shit without him.
Slipper - 6 - Good in defence but just needs more speed around the park.

TPN - Not used.
Ma'afu - 5 - Not bad, came close to scoring but doesn't look up to international level.
Fainga'a - 4 - Needs to learn how to throw straight
Simmons - 5 - Played decent but just wasn't where we need him, will be replaced by Vicks.
Elsom - 5 - Ineffective, may have lost his starting spot, didn't make any impact off bench.
Genia - Not used.
Phipps - Didn't watch him.
