We might get through South Africa, but a tough game like this in the quarters can only mean an injury or 2 going into the semi - it will be a miracle if we ever make the final.

Replacements: 16 Evgeny Matveev, 17 Vladimir Botvinnikov, 18 Alexey Travkin, 19 Andrey Garbuzov, 20 Alexander Shakirov, 21 Konstantin Rachkov, 22 Mikhail Babaev

Any chance of the Aussies going to the game give the "Aussie Ole Ole Ole Aussie Aussie" chant a workout? provided there is a decent number of you in a pocket.

No reason for Russia to hold back now so I'd be guessing it's their best outfit

I received some info from a Georgian supporter that IHHO this is about the strongest selection the Russians can manage at this time, a player or 3 short of their A1 team.

There is some rain forecast to help soften up the pitch, and hopefully reduce our chances of injury a bit.

Did we learn anything from the SA vs Samoa game ?
Still unsure how tomorrow's game helps us build to the game on Saturday.
Is Coach D really not going to call anyone up ?

You'd think that since USA, he could have called at least a Hodgo and a Taps if not a Gits. But that is well-documented by now. Robbie has a genius plan that will floor us all. I cannot wait.

When someone is called up, do they literally have to send the other guy home or can the injured peeps hang around? Is there some sort of weight limit in the hotel or are there limited seats on the team bus or something? Can the ARU foot the bill on that?

Palu has already been sent home for treatment. You would think if they dislocated a shoulder you could go to a doctor, snap it back in, and enjoy the rest of the tournament!

Russkis playing their last match in their first WC, you bet they are going to go all out, good...if we gat a decent workout and its not just some waltz that doesnt do anything for us meeting SA next wee. Bad because, as a team made of crystal, going to get a couple of injuries. The ARU must have budget issues if we havent flown anyone over yet but it will have to come next week.
Didnt see any injuries from SA except a corky on Habanna fuck it, when will the rugby Gods finish having their way with us!!!
Edit Steyne is on his way home, thats a blow, he was hitting them from 60m last night

No, tried to get a match thread going for today, but it kept getting buried under all the Saffer/Samoa whinging threads, Evans this, Brussow that. I'm going to the Oaks with junior sluggy #2 to watch the Wobblies and have a steak. Might send MTE and Waratah a text.

Edit: Beer garden at about 1215.

Good news team Oz, I'm wearing the "lucky red jocks" [as in Qld Reds] again today, after the 'brain-snap' that led to me wearing green against Ireland!
