I am not as down on Phipps as most others. I thought he and Sheehan were about the same against Italy.
Phipps is passable, and certainly not the reason for our struggles in both the forward pack and backline.

Thats exactly what I am talking about. Teams that play TPN target him because they KNOW he will go down even if you brush him. I give you a perfect example. When he dropped the ball cold in a tackle against NZ in Brisbane, no-one of thing ground included went near his head. He faked. YES FAKED. he had been knocked out. He actually looked up and then put his head down. The bloke is absolute disgrace to the jersey he wears. Any other player in that contact against England wouldn't have put on the show we get from TPN then and every week. Moore and Hanson are the answer. On a side note there isn't a player in any grade in this country who has the opportunity to play for Australia who would go to a coach and say he can't play because he is sore.. twice!!

Its laughable that he is our 1st choice understudy and his passing is that of a Victorian Premier Grade prop.
It's that sort of hyperbole that makes me struggle to take the Phipps-haters seriously.
.
His passing on the run is awful the reason he does those one hand flicks isnt because he is trying to be tricky its because he lack the ability to draw and pop.
What team you support has nothing to do with it. You have basically called TPN a faker, which is a huge accusation to make without evidence.
And simply saying 'two super teams are aware of it' (again with no factual backing) doesn't make it better.

Yet he made a line break and threw a perfect pass to Cummins at full pace to set up the only try against England..
It was forward.

We don't have the luxury of the ABs to rotate. We just about have to play our best XV every game or else we'll lose Tests.. it's just a sad reality. Sort of a catch 22.
It was forward.
Just pointing out that the proof of his not shitness is flawed. That's all.The referee didn't call it, so it wasn't. And I don't think it was, on the overhead shot it looked OK, maybe marginal at worst. It's just the main camera angle was behind the play and thus gave a misleading view.
And even if it was forward, does this somehow make it less impressive? If it was called by the ref then yes, but if not?

I think instead of Wallaby MOM after each match, we should have the "Wallabies Not Shitness Quotient" as a unique GAGR statistical tool.Just pointing out that the proof of his not shitness is flawed. That's all.
