Wallabies v Wales

This was probably the most dominant forward display from a Wallaby pack I have seen for a long time. It is no coincidence that Pocock and Smith turned in blinders on the back of that and makes me appreciate the work Smith did behind a losing pack for so long.

The biggest concern for me is that we haven't been able to make the scoreboard reflect the forward dominance. Scotland beat us and Wales were still in touch for much of the game. We need to rectify that by being more effective in attack, cut out a few mistakes, stop the pointless kicking, fix the lineout and perform against the big boys and I'll be a happy man.

Well aren't you just a bundle of joy.

Put that down to the fact I visit the Keo boards from time to time. You should've seen the glee over there when Australia drew with Ireland, thus losing our chance at a Grand Slam. "Suck it wallabies, no grand slam for you HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!111eleven1!!!!" and words to that effect.

As someone above noted (Blue?), when Giteau at second receiver was taking a long ball from Cooper at first receiver their was more width, dynamicism and purpose to the backline play. Buzzwords much?

Say that ten times fast.

did anyone hang around with the broadcast and watch Rocky get the trophy (dish)? He then took it back to the team who were standing to the side to celebrate and have photos taken. The team were standing so Rocky lay/sat down at the front. Then turned to the back, yelled for Kurtley (as a debutant) to come to the front with him and hold the trophy.

I thought that was bloody awesome of him! Well done Rocky. A fantastic gesture and a promising sign of the leader within him.

eh... maybe... but I don't mind seeing the young fellas have to work for their recognition. He probably should have called Bambam forward to thank him for doing Rocky's work at the breakdown for him.

There were several occasions similar to this in the post match show. Bam Bam and KB (Kurtley Beale) had a bit of a hug and everyone seemed genuinely happy that he had his first test cap. I thought at the time that it seemed very indicative of a sense of 'mateship' running through the team.

Thanks Gagger. Great work on the vids. I can't choose which is my favourite between the backrow and the frontrow vids. If only we had this problem after the tri-nations.

This is no doubt too much effort, but...what would be a really interesting video would be a package of all of Q. Cooper's efforts in the game - I think it will highlight just how erratic a player he is, despite improving in that regard. I recall some lovely wide passes, overcooked kicks, very good kicks, kicking when he had an overlap, falling off tackles, a dominant tackle from front on and a brilliant tackle around the bootlaces that had to be made.

He still a long way to go, but does have the potential. A lot of players flutuate in form during the season, Cooper can still somehow do it in one game. A highlights reel of Cooper in the EOYT would love awesome, but I'm sure a lowlights reel would look really awful.

I think Cooper has the most potential of just about any Australian player. I also think it is likely that he will never live up to it, but I hope he proves me wrong.

They have a history together. Pocock used to do all KB (Kurtley Beale)'s tackling in the Aussie schoolboys team

Pocock's play in that video was awesome - he absolutely dominated the Welsh.

George Smith's play - I have no doubt that if Richie had made some of those plays, there would be screaming on here about how much of a cheat he is.

Gee, what's happening to me? I could watch that video of the front row stuff again and again...and I was a back!!
The Ben(n)s are awesome, and for me the highlight was the footage of the Welsh front row blowing up after the tighthead against them. Almost as good as the "Samson" call in '84 when they got the pushover.
Although there are still plenty of naysayers, this Wallaby pack is starting to become something special. Not there just yet, but it will be interesting to see where it is in a year...or two.
