Cut both ways. Bokke have nothing to lose. Will be a bonus if they win but if this happen, I geuss the Walabies with chicken runners and all will be bleak.

o_O not sure about that. They've hardly brought over a second string outfit, like they did in 2011. Arguably its their strongest available side (or close to). I certainly think it's not crucial that the Boks win, but a loss to either side would be a disappointing way to start the season.

Anyway, I'm sure we'll test all that out through the RC.
Look, I too would have picked Jones ahead of Mumm (and Horwill and Arnold), but then, the only team I ever coached to a premiership were under 12's!

Don't get me wrong, I completely understand your point and I'm not that naive to ignore what the coach and the rugby public want, which is success.

It doesn't change the fact that I feel a bit miffed around how the squad was pulled together in the first instance, and I don't agree with some of the selections in the final squad. In fact, I disagree very strongly.

However, after years of moderating threads on this site where every man and his dog has had one tin-foil-hat conspiracy theory of some type or another (some of which ran to lengths that could stretch to Pluto and back), I reckon I'm allowed to have one of my own for a change.

Whether I am right or wrong is irrelevant. It's just my view and I'm entitled to own it.

Let's reconvene after RWC15, and I'll either take my medicine and retreat suitably chastened, or unload a post the likes of which GAGR has never seen before.

Or possibly something in the middle ground. Depends what medication I am on.

Statistically the odds aren't trying to predict the margin. Using the Betfair odds (which is an exchange not a bookie, therefore no margin) which is the true market:
AUS $1.70
SAF $2.60
Draw $32

What this means approximately is that if you played the match under the same conditions 30 times, AUS would win 17, SAF would win 12 and there would be 1 draw.

So it's closer than it looks.

What's the crowd looking like for tomorrow my Australian friends? They had around 45,000 last year for the same fixture, I presume it will be around the same this year?

I'm hoping for a good Australian win!

Was at sydney airport the other day when the boks were there, etzebeth is the smuggest looking mother f$&ker I've ever seen, hope he gets the crap belted out of him during the game, doubt it will happen though :(
