Wallabies v Lions - 3rd Test, Accor Stadium, Saturday 2 August

Major Tom

Nev Cottrell (35)
That's no reason to pick him. Lets win the game and worry about sentimental celebrations later. Stick with the 2 halfbacks from last weekend. I was done with White a few years ago.
His pass is still very good, probably better than Gordon and definitely better than Tate’s. And Gordon played 80, which is a lot considering he’s been injured a hit this year. I think it makes sense to give him this last game, which is very important. I’m getting Teddy in for RC.

Yeah, makes you wonder if there is more to him not being involved at this stage, especially considering Skelton wont be there for the RC
Is it any more than he wasn't picked in the squad because he lacked match fitness after injury, they decided to keep faith with the squad that was picked, and now he will get picked in the squad for SA, especially if Skelton isn't??

Yeah, but there was nothing stopping them calling him into the squad to get him up to speed. They just called Aidan Ross in and I'd be surprised if he jumped straight into the 23

They picked Skelton, he was clearly underdone.
Personally, I think you only want 1 Skelton type player in your 23. LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) to come in will in the RC.

Joe said they wanted him in for the FNP game

God I hope the boys have stored up the hurt of losing at the death last week and tear the Lions a new one. With Bobby probably out I would imagine we start Langi and tell him to go nuts for as long as his motor will carry him and then probably bring on Hooper.

I would also love to see LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) also come in and show the kind of mongrel we've seen in the tour games.

Valetini apparently ruled out... Hooper starting.

Hooper starting - yay. FFS. Shame, LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) & Uru have been showing a real point of athletic difference in their matches. Samu was seen training with the squad also

I expect to see the following

1. Slipper 2. Porecki 3. Tupou
4. Frost 5. Skelton
6. Hooper 8. Wilson 7. Mcreight
9. White 10. Lynagh 11. Pietsch 12. Ikitau 13. JAS 14. Jorgo 15. Wright

16. Pollard 17. Bell 18. Robertson 19. Williams 20. Gleeson 20. Samu 21. Mcdermott 22. Donaldson
