Well, that wasn't as bad as it might have been, but never-the-less I thought the score-line flattered us. My thoughts:
Scrum was good, but lineout poor, however the biggest issue for our forwards was the inability to bend the line with the ball in hand. Guys like Frost, Williams and Wilson get through a lot of work, but they rarely threaten the advantage line
The backs just didn't seem to get going, a combination of the in-your-face defence of the Lions (and questionable offside) and just no flow. Ikatau mostly just ran into contact, JAS didn't ever see the ball with any space, and the only ball the wings saw was off kicks or loose bits of play. Contrast this with the way the Lions backs flowed, particularly in the first half, was chalk and cheese.
BOK's response to the shoulder to the head clean-out, tackle in the air and no arms tackle indicate a complete reversal of the player safety issues the game has been working so hard on.
Individually, most Wallabies had a fair game, the only real disappointments in my eyes were Potter, and Lynagh's kicking out of hand, however by the same token none really shone (perhaps Jorgo, but he would be it).
It is clear the Lions are going to constantly target Lynagh and Jorgensen with bombs, both being relatively short, Joe needs to work out how to deal wtih that.
