Major Tom
Desmond Connor (43)
At least the midfield has played together. Even more so if they go with Flook over Daungunu.I think it will be
9 - Gordon/Lonergan
10 - Edmed
11 - Pietsch
12 - Paisami
13 - Daungunu
14 - Toole
15 - Kellaway

Cale....
we haven't had Gleeson, Lolesio, Lynagh and Wright for much of this year, Cale wouldn't be in our best 23, we also don't know for sure that AAA is out yetSo, no AAA, Skelton, Hooper, Gleeson, Cale, McDermott, JOC (James O'Connor) (James O'Connor), Lolesio, Lynagh, Ikitau, Wright... with Tupou, McReight, Jorgensen and JAS rested... and Slipper and White retired...
I'm not at all concerned.

Plus we have Kellaway, Pietsch and possible Faessler and Gordon returning
Fraser is in Japan or Carlo getting the knod over Fraser which I think is probably a good thing. So, no AAA, Skelton, Hooper, Gleeson, Cale, McDermott, JOC (James O'Connor) (James O'Connor), Lolesio, Lynagh, Ikitau, Wright... with Tupou, McReight, Jorgensen and JAS rested... and Slipper and White retired...

Yep...
He was being considered for Super Rugby AU and the spring tour, but the focus is being put on his recovery.

Wallabies End of Year Tour squad confirmed

The two cap Wallaby? One of which of the bench? A devastating loss....Japan must be rubbing their hands with glee
lucky we're playing JapanYeah, it's just a list of the injured players who would be in consideration...
But overall it's still a concerning amount of quality players unavailable.
And the inexperienced combinations within the inside backs could be a problem.
Not having what was our first and then second, and now third choice flyhalves for most of the season hasn't worked out great...

It depends on who they roll with. Hunter, Duangunu and Flook have all played plenty of footy together. Pietch, Potter and Toole have been in the Wallaby set up for a while now and Kellaway is very experienced. Agree it's far from our best backline but it should get the job done pretty comfortably. These backs coming in should be fairly hungry and desperate to impress. Plenty of motivation.Yeah, it's just a list of the injured players who would be in consideration...

This is not how things have been done for the past decade. It depends on who they roll with. Hunter, Duangunu and Flook have all played plenty of footy together. I guess we'll see this weekend if Schmidt has really turned a corner with us.This is not how things have been done for the past decade.
I agree they should. Believe it when I see it these days.
Against Japan?I guess we'll see this weekend if Schmidt has really turned a corner with us.
Christy's article said Thursday afternoon, so probably any time in the next ~3 hours (it's 1pm in Tokyo right now)You'd think team would be announced any time now? 50 hours to go before game?
