Wallabies v Japan 25 Oct

Wow. He box kicked to touch on the 50 and into opposition half multiple times. Something our 10s can't do from a normal kick. Made a tackle at the end of the game that probs won us the game. Managed the game well. I've never been a big Gordan fan as he isn't a world class 9 and will never be but he is our best option at the moment
Perhaps I was a bit harsh.

Or expecting better. But, as you say, he might be the best we have at the moment.
And in reference to an earlier post, I didn’t see all the game.

But my criticism is also biased by my dislike of box kicks.
A loss against New Zealand when one N White box kicked away when we were in front.

But also back to Gordon- he should not box kick. My perception of him is more of a runner. He did seem a bit out of sorts today.
But he wasn’t Robinson Crusoe there!

Open to it. Said it during the week he’s a safe, low error option who would follow a plan and shift the ball. More likely to play 10 for Aus than the Force.

I went through seasons at the Reds saying that Stewart was a great rugby player but not nat's a'hole of a 10. I pretty much stand by it.

BUT at international level, there aught be a bigger emphasis on D and organisation. I think Stewart is not such a bad call. He does get his head into rucks that many 7's don't manage. Great skill but not high on the list of key fly half skills. Still I think he could follow a game plan.

Doubt Stewart will get much of a chance outside AusC (like today) but he is a rare player who might be better at international level than he is a Super rugby.

I don't think so.

I completely agree that Gordon ran that game. No doubt at all. But this stuff about him making 30m to touch with a box (claimed repeatedly) ... look I watched that game, seriously did I just miss this?

I actually think that Gordon is an underrated player and imo makes a solid argument for top two #9s in the WB squad. But I wouldn't give it to him on kicking from that game. I'd still give him 3 points if someone is putting up a 3-2-1 thread.

It's Schmid's plan. Do you think Gordon just box kicks because he feels like it? Want to blame someone, blame Schmidt. Gordon was my best on ground.

From what I saw the main thing is that Jake Gordon should not play again.
He must be a plant by V’landys (the horse racing guy) (the horse racing guy) or heavily protected by the Watatah’s mafia.
Shit box kick after shit box kick.
Nothing else to add to the game.
He managed to make league’s six tackles and kick sublimely creative.
I was not impressed either.
