Gordon was well and truly running the game at that point. Had it been an 8 point lead he probably would've, but with 4 points in it he wasn't going to fuck with that. It was the right call. Not sure why Schmidt wouldn’t bring on a fresh lonergan though.
If he isn't in the squad for next week, then I'll also think it was a bizarre selection. Captain one week and dropped the next and probably in the following tests too.or perhaps the coaching staff saw something and didn’t think it necessary to consult with you first?
Perhaps I was a bit harsh.Wow. He box kicked to touch on the 50 and into opposition half multiple times. Something our 10s can't do from a normal kick. Made a tackle at the end of the game that probs won us the game. Managed the game well. I've never been a big Gordan fan as he isn't a world class 9 and will never be but he is our best option at the moment
Open to it. Said it during the week he’s a safe, low error option who would follow a plan and shift the ball. More likely to play 10 for Aus than the Force.
Might have worked if Schmidt had put his missing starters on the bench to shore up the second half. Most of those were available for selection. Complete arrogance to throw this team out for a test match
Perhaps I was a bit harsh.
Or expecting better. But, as you say, he might be the best we have at the moment.
And in reference to an earlier post, I didn’t see all the game.
But my criticism is also biased by my dislike of box kicks.
A loss against New Zealand when one N White box kicked away when we were in front.
But also back to Gordon- he should not box kick. My perception of him is more of a runner. He did seem a bit out of sorts today.
But he wasn’t Robinson Crusoe there!
I'm not disagreeing Dru, but I think there were at least two lineouts lost with Nasser the thrower. How many did we lose with Pollard throwing, do you know?He isn't throwing to one jumper. Shit happens and he needs to deal with it.
Not in my book. He did all the play making, and just look at how woeful that was.Gordan the best Aussie tonight.
It's Schmid's plan. Do you think Gordon just box kicks because he feels like it? Want to blame someone, blame Schmidt. Gordon was my best on ground.Perhaps I was a bit harsh.

BR. You of all people should realise that is want Schmidt wants. Not in my book. He did all the play making, and just look at how woeful that was.
I was not impressed either. From what I saw the main thing is that Jake Gordon should not play again.
He must be a plant by V’landys (the horse racing guy) (the horse racing guy) or heavily protected by the Watatah’s mafia.
Shit box kick after shit box kick.
Nothing else to add to the game.
He managed to make league’s six tackles and kick sublimely creative.
French game is outside the window.Anyone know which 3 weeks in November fall within the official test window? Gonna need Skelton and Ikitau back.
So do we get Hooper and Ikitau for the England game? Seems unfair if all of England's players from the Prem are available for selection but we cant pick our two.French game is outside the window

Italy, Ireland, FranceAnyone know which 3 weeks in November fall within the official test window? Gonna need Skelton and Ikitau back.
He didn't playFor what it's worth, which may be nothing, I thought Paisami and Tizzano were our best. In a 3, 2, 1 rating I would put Lonergan in for 1 point. He didn't besmirch the jersey nor trash his reputation as all the others did. And we can put Joe Schmidt at the top of that list.
