There are some players I’d love to see again this week, but I’m not sure how many players RUPA will want to see out there having already played 160 mins in barely over a week……..

So the changes are:

Swain starting over Philip
AAA starting over Tupou
Swinton starting with Valetini moving to the bench
Naisarani starting with Wilson out of the 23
McDermott starting over Gordon
Ikitau starting over To'omua (with Paisami shifting to 12).
Daugunu replacing Wright
Uelese replacing Lonergan on the bench
Hodge replacing Kellaway on the bench

So 4 new players in the 23 with 2 starting and 2 on the bench.

5 bench players moving to starting.

Pretty decent team, by no means our B team. Sad that Leota, Wells or Pone didn’t get a shot but them’s the breaks.

Surreal to see that Marika has more caps himself than all of the other backs combined.

I am much more excited for this 15 than the other nights. Hopefully Swinton doesn't get the red mist as well get massacred playing with 14.

Hard not to drop Wright after that match.

Was it confirmed that Kaitu'u picked up an injury? Would've much preferred to see him on the bench over Uelese.

That back line!!! Love it. Ideally, JOC (James O'Connor) at 5/8 would've provided the old head for a young bunch but if Lolesio can stay calm, and have MK talking to them from the wing, the backs will do well.

It's nice to have the depth to make eight changes and the team could arguably be better.

Interesting that To'omua was benched, he's a bit older and fragile but I can't help thinking that's more tactical than attritional. Likewise Daugunu for Wright.

Yes, they are letting the young ones have a chance to take control but with the knowledge there is the experience of To'omua and Hodge on the bench.

I’m wondering if they are hoping he can go 80 mins, with Valetini coming on at 8 for Naisarani………
