Wallabies v Argentina Sat 2 October CBus Stadium

I hope Kerevi is still around for the end of year tour otherwise we have a problem at 12 again. He is a massive part of our game plan now and has made a big difference and we don't really have a similar option. Maybe just chuck Koribete in at 12 to get over the gain line!

No. Call Marika back. Continuity is too important to squander for the sake of his 'family'. What would his kids rather: a present father figure or back-to-back wins against Argentina in the Rugby Championship? It's a no brainer.

He's going home to meet his newborn baby.

Children don't form lasting memories that early so it's a complete waste of time. He can just tell the kid when they're older that he did come home.

agree Adam. Bit of Cheika mind games going on which we need to be very wary of.

It's hard to keep track of who is and isn't in the squad these days but Leota was our back up lock a couple of tests ago. He could fill that role again if Philip needed a rest.

I'd consider:

15 Hodge
14 Kellaway
13 Ikitau
12 Kerevi
11 Petaia
10 Cooper
9 White
8 Valetini
7 Hooper
6 Swinton (he was just dropped right? Or was he injured?)
5 Swain
4 Rodda
3 Tupou
2 Fainga'a
1 Bell

16 Kaituu
17 Robertson
18 Pone
19 Leota
20 McMahon
21 McDermott
22 O'Connor
23 Paisami

I think this will be more or less the team. Seems odd to suggest resting players before a decent break. Wouldn't mind seeing Pete Samu getting some time at 6, he has earnt it after not putting a foot wrong off the pine. Also suspect Wright will be 23 as he covers back 3. Paisami only really 12-13 which JOC (James O'Connor) covers adequately

Wouldn't be surprised to see Slipper get a rest. Koroibete is out. I'd expect JOC (James O'Connor) to start also.

I just don’t think that is how is being looked at. From what I’ve heard from Rennie, if they are going to rest or rotate out one of these starters then Samu would be behind guys like Wilson, Swinton & McReight. But as a bench player his utility value and his style of play makes him ideal. The other three are either starters or out of the 23. Not sure where McMahon fits in that.

I think Mcmahon will take the place of Mcreight as backup 7 for the tour.
