It's quite hard when you've had to dig for the ball and the likes of TJ / Smith, SBW & Crotty are charging up the line toward the player you are attempting to pass to.

When you find yourself in that situation you know your forwards have let you down.

Not to mention some roaming loosies in there as well to obliterate your flyhalf.

Sure, but that wasn't happening and hasn't been happening this year. Our pack has been doing well, and Genia's service remains the same. Has been for a few years now, he simply doesn't get the ball out in front of his man so his runners lose most of their momentum catching his passes, or have to start from a standstill.

We will never get fast ball and mismatches with such poor passing.

I don't really think the Wallaby forward pack were the issue last Saturday except for their contribution in defence in the first half.

We had a good share of possession, we controlled our breakdown ball fairly well and were solid at set piece.

There were a couple of times when forwards got disconnected in defence and contributed to our defensive woes but generally it was the backs who caused the issues there.

Anyway, hopefully it's a better performance across the park this weekend.

Just hope the officials keep a close eye on taking out the defenders behind the ruck ( some times up to 5 meters behind ) well after the attacker is on the ground. Key All Black tactic which no other team attempted last weekend. This puts more pressure on our defense either we fight fire with fire or make it BLOODY obvious to the officials what is happening.

Nepo Laulala replaces him and Jeff Toomaga-Allen called in as a replacement.

Not really sure what that means regarding Tu-ungafasi seeing as Laulala wasn't in the 23 before.

Despite conflicting reports, Laulala to start and Ofa to remain on the bench. JTA called into squad as cover only at this stage. Franks likely to be out a while. Big loss for the ABs.

IMO he is too busy being everyone's friend, look at simmons, he drops him but makes a public statement that his career is not over and he will be back. Sure enough he brings him back at the expense of a real goer like Rodda and has to leave him there for 2/3 games. People are not included on form. I could mention lots of guys and positions but that would just distract the argument from that Chek does not know how to manage people iot to keep everyone engaged and most importantly the best team on the park.

But I do think you can coach units to improve the quality of their work/efforts, I don't think you can coach workrate

Does anybody besides Cheik and his assistants ACTUALLY think that a back row group of
a) 6 - Hanigan, 7 - Hooper 8 - McMahon 20 - FUCKING DEMPSEY (with Timani, Korzyck as back ups)

is superior to

b) 6 - Fardy, 7 - Hooper, 8 - Timani or Higgers, 20 - McMahon (with Higgers/Timani + Hanigan as back ups)

What the actual FUCK are they thinking?


P.S this is not to pretend that Timani, Higger and Fardy don't all have their deficiencies because they do but I will not accept that the selection of our back row group for 2017 has been anything less than a clusterfuck.

I would have thought Cheika's true strength lies almost entirely in man management and motivation. He certainly not a master tactician.
