I am not on the band wagon to dump Cheika. As how can one expect our national team to do well when our Super Rugby teams are performing so poorly. First and foremost lot of responsibility rests on coaches at Super Rugby level.

Not in my opinion. I dont doubt that there are secondary issues and further, but it's not first.

Responsibility lies with the HC and a game strategy where attack positions are so divorced from D positions that it requires a a ball room dance the size of which has not been witnessed since the Victorian era.

This clowning around is entirely Cheika, and is the issue first and foremost.

Lets face it, the NZ rugby model from juniors and schools up to National level is far superior and rugby is like a religion, whereas grassroots rugby in Oz has been neglected and the game competes with so many other sports, namely AFL, soccer and RL.

It's been said many times: every kid who starts playing soccer and AFL is lost to rugby forever. Most who start playing RL are lost, although there is a chance some get ''converted'' at schoolboy level.

the only trouble with that Sideline is that Soccer is by far the dominant sport in NZ for kids, many kids in change to rugby from soccer and league.

Gel, I find it just a touch hypocritical that you can make comments like that re the people with a flower, and in the same post complain about provincialism!

Not true, I have always been a fan of Cooper and see his potential, and have said as much on many occasions so be careful with the broad brush. He has been way off the form of 2011-12 for years, sadly. If he can get back to it, I'd be very happy to see him at 10 anywhere. And I have a flower. Albeit, a wilted one. ;)
Give me a quote from one your posts that doesnt have a qualifier afterwards that derides him.

Or are they like Barbarian's posts which usually go "I'm a big fan of <non NSW player> but actually he both sucks and swallows too much and <NSW player> is the incumbent anyway"?

Many kids change from soccer and league to rugby?

Moore is a surprise. I would have TPN.
I'm not impressed by Hanigan at this stage.
McMahon is a good call.
Robertson must be better than I give him credit for. Too small.
Not feeling very confident.
AB's by 20.

Quoting myself from last Thursday;
Lucky the AB's clocked off after 50 mins or the 20 point spread would have been decimated.

My comments last week were only on the forwards as this is where I have an ounce of knowledge. After Saturdays game I might contact the ARU to see if they want a defense coach.
A total shambles is what I witnessed. However, I wasn't in the least surprised as I am a Waratahs fan and have seen enough of Nathan Grey's work to know what to expect.
Nathan Grey needs to go plus the people responsible for recruiting him full time into the Wallabies setup.

Talk about the dark before the dawn, I agree with Reds Happy, we are headed for a full meltdown in this code before we rebuild from the ground up.

I feel sorry for the players who are the unwitting victims in this sham.

Not one decent coach at Super Rugby level and only 1 at Wallaby level (Mick Byrne).

Must be fun to live in a world where all your sporting troubles can be solved by just blaming them those "flower people"

That's the point I'm making.

As soon as there is any notion of someone criticising a Nsw player or coach, the flower power gang go full tilt defence mode (even calling into question peoples support of the national team).

People from the other states on here will post a lot of stuff (positive and negative) about players from their own and other states and not get overly hot and bothered by it.

But posts on here from NSW supporters are uniformly critical of anyone or anything that dares suggest an issue with a tah.

Tah's deficiencies are defended by their "points of difference".

Non Tahs are defined by the deficiencies.

That is how *all* the posts from NSW supporters are.

What are you on about mate?

I actually deleted your last post because it was just rubbish designed to stir up shit on this thread.

I'll keep deleting posts from all parties after this point. There's enough places to stir provincial shit on this place as it is. Let's stick to match/rugby chat pls.

Have a look yourself - I don't deride him. Or don't, I don't fucking care. But don't paint us all with the same brush.

It's rather unlucky that the AB's clocked off to be fair. This coaching team needs a shake up and an 80 point belting (which we were on course for) would have flagged the need.

There was a bit of clocking off, but early in the game we were unlucky not to have more points on the board as well

Nothing wrong with Dave Wessels.
