The ARU got $27 million from sponsors last year, and you can bet a large chunk of that was from QANTAS. Call the team whatever they want for that sort of money.

Exactly. Supporters aren't obligated to call them that. It's only for publicity. Get over it I reckon.

A few All Blacks supporters used to go moral high ground on it. They were so proud that they weren't the adidas All Blacks, and that said company even used a very subtle logo to limit the damage it could do to utter blackness.

Now the AIG stands proudly on the jersey in nice big letters, and nary a word.

Its money. Its sport. The two are busy rubbing each other on the taint at a professional level to change that now.

If we had a choice it would be great to drop the "Qantas" part. But given the financial state of the ARU, its fine by me. We need all the funds we can get. Good on Qantas for sponsoring the Wallabies in the first place.
