I think its a but hard to judge. He has been in a Reds backline that has seemed totally bereft of ideas at times, and most importantly has lacked the work off the ball that characterised the Reds in years past that made their backline play so slick. So what I am saying is that in 2011 and 2012 Cooper takes the ball to the line and he has two or three players moving in support, in close and wide making defenders have to try and cover multiple threats. Now when those threats are like Digby and need to be marked by two players especially guarding for his left foot step it opens up opportunities for QC (Quade Cooper) to use his surprising pace of the mark and foot work. In the last few games I just haven't seen a single player moving in support to allow Cooper that sort of option and hence he is easily contained by the multiple markers opponents are putting around him. It that light it is quite surprising he still managed as many offloads and line breaks/assists that he did.

Ok lets hope for the wobbs he has those runners :)

He isn't listed in the starting XV, but I can't find the full 22 anywhere so maybe he is in line to come off the bench

Hmmm. Hopefully he is actually fit then.

Some Wallabies seem to be playing Shute Shield this weekend whilst others who I don't think are injured aren't.

Any word on the Assistants that Link will have?

Has Totality Tony already moved on from ARU to Rebels? That would free up a slot for Link to recruit his own fellow into.

If you were Link what would be the breakdown of your assistants?

I'll have a go

Forwards Coach - Link/Sharpie with input from Foley/Cheika
Lineout consultant- Sharpe
Scrum consultant- Link with input from Foley
Backs Coach- Kafe/ Larkham
S&C - Know a good retired ballet dancer-I'm not joking watch the injury rate evaporate.
Kicking Coach (part timer borrowed from ARU HPU - new position to be established to increase the overall kicking skill levels across the board - [place, drop and from hand])- different skills maybe Andrew Johns
Game Analyst- Kafe
Life Skills Advisor (part time contractor)- Poido(thats left field but he'd be great)

It will be interesting to see how many Brumbies make the squad.

I figure that Moore, Alexander, Mowen, Lealiifano, Tomane, White and Mogg are pretty much guaranteed.

To'omua, Sio, Fardy, Kimlin, and Kuridrani could all be picked without many people batting an eyelid.

Carter and Auelua could fall into a bolters category.

I guess in part it will come down to Link's appetite for the unknown.

I think it is offensive that you blokes keep throwing names up for the Wallabies squad, in some pathetic attempt to influence the selections and ridiculous provincial self-interest. Pretty sure Link knows what he is doing and I trust him to pick a squad that will get the job done.

Just stop it, ok?

I think its offensive that you think that people here are trying to influence the selections with their comments. Do you really think we are dumb enough to believe that our blog posts will be carefully considered before altering the way the team is then selected? People are stating their opinions here because it is a FORUM - no one is commenting in some kind of misguided hope of pressuring McKenzie to choose their favourite players or to influence the selections. Wake up dopey.

My team - and, Link, if you happen to be carefully scrutinising page 14 of this blog post before daring to make your selections, is just my opinion so please don't feel any pressure here - is as follows:

1. Robinson - the least worst of a very bad lot of 1's.
2. Moore - great 2, daylight between him and s Fainga'a/hanson/TPN
3. Slipper - developing but better than any other option.
4. Horwill (Simmons whilst Horwill is out)
5. Fardy/Pyle - both deserve a shot, poor other options
6. MMM (swtich in mowen if MMM breaks down with injury)
7. Gill (good to play 55 mins, solid on ball, then hooper for speed)
8. Higgy Wiggy (mowen while higgy's out) - far better than palu

9. Genia (Phipps whilst Genia is out) - best 9 in world
10. Cooper - NOT dan carter, but still best 10 option we have in Oz
11. Cummins/Rod Davies if available/Speight if available
12. Lilo - slotted straight into best few in the team
13. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) - always plays well in wallaby colours
14. Folau - cant slot into 10 if played at 15, better on wing for now
15. Beale/Mogg - much of a muchness.

Back Res: Beale/Mogg, Phipps/White, JOC (James O'Connor) (utility)
Forward Res: Hooper, S Fainga'a, and three stooges that cant play - there's always at least three).

Given the obvious sarcasm you missed, I'm starting to wonder.

My avatar is looking quite appropriate, don't you think?

Would you like to go back and read my post again, carefully?

Then you can have another crack at a follow up post, without the personal comments, or shall I do it for you?

Forgot to pack my 100kg fishing line.

Damn hand reels are only good enough for catching small fry!
